Escape to Deer Mountain Cabin, a private retreat in the Black Hills for up to 8 guests. This charming property features two separate buildings, a cozy fireplace, and a full kitchen. Perfectly located just 15 minutes from Terry Peak skiing and historic Deadwood, it`s an ideal base for families and groups seeking adventure and relaxation amidst the pines.

The space
Located on a quiet cul-de-sac with beautiful views, this peaceful retreat is tucked away in serene seclusion. Cozy yet spacious, it blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Step inside the main cabin to an open-concept living space with vaulted ceilings and warm wood beams. Large windows frame the forest views, while a stunning stone fireplace invites you to gather on cozy evenings.

Guest access
You will have private access to the entire property, which includes the main cabin and the separate garage building housing the loft and an additional bedroom. Enjoy your morning coffee on the private deck or relax on the patio, surrounded by the serene beauty of the forest. Garage access is available to keep your vehicles or gear safe year-round.

Other things to note
- We recommend a 4x4 vehicle year-round for ease of access as the road. Snow removal service will be scheduled once snowfall reaches 3 inches.

- The garage and loft are located in a separate building approximately 50 to 75 feet from the main house. The other bedroom is above the garage. Please note there are two full bathrooms, and both are located in the main house. There is no bathroom in the separate garage/loft building.


* The primary renter is required to sign the Renter`s Agreement before checking in. This document comprehensively outlines the rules, policies, and terms governing your stay with us. By signing, you acknowledge and commit to adhering to these regulations throughout your tenure at our property.

* Reservations made by local residents require additional review and approval before confirmation.

Cancellation policy
- We offer free cancellation or a 100% refund of the amount payable if you cancel 30 days before the check-in date. If canceling, we will charge a processing fee (to cover credit card processing and administrative fees).
Other House Rules:

1. If any issues arise during your stay, it’s essential to communicate with us promptly. Good communication between the guest and host is critical to ensuring a smooth and successful stay. You should respond to us (the hosts) within 24 hours when we reach out to resolve an issue. In certain situations, we will need to send our case manager to review the situation in person to fully address any concerns.

Maintenance aside from emergencies will only be able to be tended to during business hours, 8am-5pm.

2. It is a `must` to read the entire listing description and the house rules of our property. If, in this case, you DO NOT read over our listing description or house rules and are not comfortable with something that is clearly stated, we will uphold our cancellation policies.

3. No unregistered guests/visitors unless preapproved

4. Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
To respect our neighbors, outdoor amplified audio (including TVs and speakers), as well as loud gatherings, are not permitted during quiet hours. Please move any conversations or entertainment indoors after that time.

5. No parties or events unless previously organized in writing with the host. If

there’s evidence of a party or event, there’ll be an additional charge of $200.

6. Follow state laws when using a fire pit. Please make sure not to leave fires unattended.

7. For noise complaints:

7.1 If we receive any noise complaints from neighbors, a security guard will be called out to the property at a cost of $85 to guests for the first call-out.

7.2. If security is called a second time during your stay, you will be charged a $250 fee and be removed from the premises with no refund of your stay.


9. No smoking anywhere in this house. If we find evidence of smoking anywhere in the house, you will be charged $250 for extra cleaning.

10. The Host is not responsible for items left behind. A $65 fee applies for return shipping and staff handling. Items not claimed within 14 days will be discarded.

Follow all check-out procedures:

1. Take out all trash

2. Wash dishes and please put them on the drying rack before leaving or start the dishwasher.

Note:

* A $200 extra cleaning fee may be charged if the home is left unreasonably dirty and requires more work than usual to clean (for example: mud on the couches). All damages will also be charged to guest.

* Check-out time is scheduled for 10:00 am on the day of departure unless previously agreed upon with the host. If the guest is more than 90 minutes late checking out guest will be charged $100.

* Any costs incurred by the host as a result of a late check out will be passed on to you.

* The Host is not responsible for items left behind. A $65 fee applies for return shipping and staff handling. Items not claimed within 14 days will be discarded.

* Please note that reservations made by local residents are subject to an additional review and approval process before final confirmation. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Very nice place to stay! Host is very good with communication. Enough room for a trailer and truck. Kitchen had all things you would need. Very comfortable stay!

Nice home, clean and fully furnished with all a person needs to live. The issue we came across is that the "bedrooms" listed is actually one master bedroom, one loft (not enclosed by 4 walls) and the 3rd bedroom is above the detached garage. It was clean and had electricity, but no plumbing. Great for kids who want an isolated place, but no plumbing means bathroom/showers need to take a walk to the house or go outside...Otherwise, host was excellent and gravel roads in remote subdivision were in decent shape, speed humps every 500' or so.
