Longtemps appelé "The Summer Place", cette retraite isolée de la rivière Kalamazoo est IDEAL YEAR ROUND. Le Summer Place est à quelques pas du centre-ville de Saugatuck, rempli de boutiques, galeries, restaurants et discothèques. Il ne pouvait y avoir de meilleur endroit pour s'installer.

Great Location and parking!

We had a great weekend!! Rental is walkable to everything. Pet friendly. Owners Janet and Fred were welcoming during check in process. Homemade muffins when we checked in!

Quiet Cottage

We enjoyed our stay in Saugatuck. This cottage has nice privacy behind “the big house” but within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. We appreciate that we were able to take our 13 month old Boston Terrier. He enjoyed his first dog park experience Janet recommended.

We had a wonderful time and our pup did too!

My husband and I had a wonderful birthday week getaway. It could not have been a lovelier place to stay - comfortable, lush green views, an outdoor space, a short walk to everything downtown has to offer, and plenty of room for the two of us and our pup. Janet was exceedingly welcoming and kind, even leaving us some birthday wishes and cupcakes upon our arrival and sending us off with some of her home grown tomatoes!

Considerate Attention to Details

From supplying chocolates and snacks to extra supplies of dog waste bags, the owners anticipated our needs. The cottage was airy and pleasant, and a quick walk to shops and restaurants.

Great Stay!

Wonderful location and cute cottage that was perfect for my husband, myself and our dog. We appreciate the willingness to allow pets because Kobe loved it! Place was very clean and quiet. The towels are some of the softest I have felt. We loved it and cannot wait to go back!

Private and Peaceful

This property is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, close to downtown but away from the hustle and bustle of Saugatuck. The cottage was clean and offered unexpected amenities. The host was pleasant and welcoming.

Lovely, Comfortable Guest House

This cottage was wonderful. The location really can't be beat if you're coming to enjoy the town of Saugatuck. It was an easy walk everywhere in town. The reserved parking space in the driveway was appreciated since parking can be difficult in town, especially during a holiday weekend (we stayed over the 4th of July). Janet sent easy access instructions ahead of time, but was home when we arrived so introduced herself and showed us the space. Note it is a guest house right behind the main house, so Janet and her husband are close by. It still felt very private. They were very welcoming to me and my husband, as well as our two small dogs. Janet provided lots of small snacks and drinks in the cottage. Everything was impeccably furnished and extremely clean. I'd highly recommend and would stay again!

Perfect quiet but close location

Super clean, set super close to water. Short walk to all the shops and bars and restraunts. Saugatuck is very busy with tourists and parking is a nightmare to find. This was the perfect place to stay without needing our car to go enjoy all the downtown and waterfront has to offer! Host had a day parking pass to Oval Beach waiting in our room which was greatly appreciated!

A Perfect Getaway Location

What a little gem this property is! It is a small and cozy little studio, which was perfect for our getaway from the kids. My wife and I loved every minute, including the ability to bring our dog along, who became a town favorite in Saugatuck. The location is ideal, allowing you an easy walk to everything the town has to offer, including all of the great shops and restaurants. Not having to worry about driving/parking is a MASSIVE perk of this rental. There is not a full kitchen in the rental, which wasn't an issue for us, so take advantage of all of the great places to eat in town. Janet made us feel more like house guests than renters! She goes above and beyond with little touches to make you feel welcome and taken care of. This is one of the first rentals we've ever had where we debated just booking the same week in advance for the next year. It was great!

Perfect private retreat!

Wonderful private getaway within walking distance of downtown Saugatauk and close drive to Felt Mansion and State Park in walking trails. Hosts are welcoming and have thought of everything. Very comfortable getaway!

Lovely getaway!

The cottage was very sweet; well supplied and cozy and so close to downtown Saugatuck. The hosts were lovely and welcoming. The cottage is more of a “studio” than a 1- bedroom which was a surprise as we thought the bedroom would be separate, but it was not a problem. A couple would be happy there!

Weekend stay

Came up for the tulips, but so glad we stayed here and made the most of Saugatuck. Delicious food and so close to everything we enjoyed walking every single day. Our dog Snickers also got to enjoy his first trip and explore. Janet was a lovely host, had snacks and drinks for us and doggie bags for snick. Definitely recommend staying here and would stay again. Very clean and so quiet, loved the privacy of it. Hopefully we can come back soon!

Perfectly tucked away in downtown, with a welcoming host

Janet was a gracious and thoughtful host, the cottage met all our needs and was well located in downtown Saugatuck while being quietly tucked away behind the owner’s main house.

My partner and I love this place-clean, cozy, quiet, comfortable and has everything you’d ever need. However, the best thing about this place are the owners. They make the stay so great with their welcome and interest in our wandering without being overbearing. We will always go back there because of them.
