A few positives: Good location if you don't need to park, easy check-in and out, and responsive manager. Things to improve: - Cleanliness: I take my shoes off in the house. My feet were soot black after walking around a few minutes without shoes. Additionally, surfaces were dusty, and bathroom could've been cleaner. - I was told there was street parking. This is true, as long as you're not trying to park past 5 or 6pm. Trying to find parking in the evening is an impossible task. The first night I arrived, I arrived late and had to park 1.2 miles away and get an uber to get back to the unit. - Owners need to address the seeping water from the floorboards. I had a few boxes that got wet as a result of water coming up from between the flooring.
Pros: Location was convenient to NYC. It was a short walk to the bus stop and a short bus ride to the city. Property owner was reaponsive.Cons:Immediately upon entry, I noticed the floors looked dirty. Then, I noticed there were multiple strands of hair on the dining table and in the bathroom sink. I did not reach out to the owner as I didn's see the point. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible and the hand towel was a washcloth. Someone's toiletries were in the shower. The checkin message advised we would be provdided 2 towels, for 2 people for a 5 night stay. Additional towels would be a charge of 20 - totally outrageous. Fortunately, I saw this message before leaving home and so I brought my own towels. The house rules were no shoes in the apt. The first two days, our socks became so nasty from the floors. I bought slippers and they were so nasty by the time we left that I threw them away. On the 4th day of our stay, the floors started weeping, for lack of a better word. There was water coming through the seamlines of the flooring - gross. The air circulation wasn't good and the bedroom got uncomfortable at night so we had to buy a fan to be able to sleep.Parking is impossible. I was told there was free street parking across the street, there isn't. You have to have a permit to park, which we were not eligible to get as they must be obtained by the property owner. Ended up paying 120 to park the car at a garage 5 miles away.
