Comfy and Safe 2-bedroom condo in New Orleans - 1 block walk to French Quarter

Our check-in instructions—including the full address—were sent within the standard timeframe used by all major booking platforms, and they were successfully delivered to you the day before arrival as stated in your reservation. When you reached out upon arrival, we responded as soon as possible which was actually minutes after receiving your message and well within typical host response standards. Regarding the claim of a musty odor, the condo was professionally cleaned prior to your stay, and no issues were reported by guests immediately before or after your reservation. New Orleans does have a lot of humidity so we understand if you are not used to moisture in the air. We would have been happy to send our cleaning team back out or address any concern right away had you allowed us the opportunity. You speak in general terms about the neighborhood or condo not meeting your standards, but you didn’t address any of your standards or how they are different than what was in the listing. The condo is located on the French Quarter area which is the most sought out area to visit in New Orleans. The French Quarter is in the historic district so many building are over 100 years old and are not very modern which you might be used to. It’s unfortunate that you chose to book a hotel before allowing us to assist, but we remain committed to providing a clean, comfortable, and accurately represented property for all guests. We encourage future guests to review the many positive, verified reviews that reflect the true experience at our condo.

Vanburn did not even stay with us but it was third party guests so they did not do any research on the neighborhood, city, or condo. Our listing photos accurately show the space, and the unit was professionally cleaned and inspected prior to your arrival. At no point were there any reports or evidence of fire damage to the surrounding buildings, nor were there any “boarded-up” hazards near the apartment. Though these houses in neighborhood are not modern but historic, they are very expensive and in the heart of the city. You were onsite for less than 15 minutes and did not allow us reasonable time to respond before leaving. You called once, and we returned your message shortly afterward, but you had already departed. Had you stayed to communicate with us, we would have gladly addressed any concerns on the spot. We take cleanliness and guest comfort seriously. The bedding was freshly laundered and neatly made, and there were no broken appliances or furnishings reported by our cleaning team or by guests before or after your stay. Additionally, no pests were found during the turnover immediately following your visit. We had videos of the place by the housekeeper before you checked in and after you checked out. We work hard to provide a safe, clean, and accurately represented space, and the claims in this review are inconsistent with our documented condition of the unit and the experience of other guests.
