Quaint 1930s Algiers Shotgun- 6 Min. Ferry to French Quarter! Safe & quiet area!

Just to clarify for future guests, the home is called Honeybee House, and it’s a historic 1930s shotgun, so some of its character comes from original features. That said, we appreciate your notes on aspects of the house and are continuing to address maintenance items to keep improving the space. Regarding location, the home is in Algiers Point, which is widely recognized as one of the safest and most community-oriented neighborhoods in New Orleans, with consistently lower crime rates than most areas of the city. Like any urban area, isolated incidents can occur, but they are not representative of the neighborhood as a whole. This is not typical of the neighborhood, which is generally known for being quiet, residential, and very walkable. Many of our guests enjoy walking to the ferry, exploring the riverfront, and experiencing the quiet, residential feel while still being just minutes from the French Quarter. For clarity, the walk to the ferry is approximately 12–15 minutes, as noted in the listing, and many guests regularly enjoy that walk along the Mississippi River.
