Hi there! We're originally from Canada and now live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but our hearts have truly found a home on Beaver Island. We fell in love with its peaceful pace, natural beauty, and unique charmâand it's become our favorite place to escape from the rush of everyday life.
We named our cabin Ardenstone for the surrounding forest (âArdenâ meaning great forest or eagle valley) and the rocky shoreline that forms our natural seawall. If you're lucky, you might spot the eagle who often soars byâheâs incredible to watch.
We love being on the water, whether it's kayaking, swimming, or just enjoying the view with a good cup of coffee. One of our greatest joys is sharing this special place with others. Hosting guests at Ardenstone is more than just renting a cabinâitâs a chance to help people slow down, unplug, and experience the magic of the island. We truly feel connected to everyone who stays here, and weâre always happy to help you make the most of your visit.
Whether you're here for rest, adventure, or a bit of both, we hope you find the same peace and inspiration at Ardenstone that we do.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
Beaver Island is like stepping into a slower, simpler worldâwhere time stretches out and nature takes center stage. The island is quiet and uncrowded, with forested trails, clear blue waters, and starlit skies that seem to go on forever. Life here moves at a gentler pace, and thatâs exactly what makes it so special.
Downtown Beaver Island is not so far away, and may seem quiet at first glance, but thereâs so much more than meets the eye. Itâs a charming, walkable area full of small-town character and hidden gems. Whether you're looking for a hearty meal, a cozy cafĂ©, or a touch of local art and history, youâll find it here.
We love grabbing a bite at our favorite restaurantsâThe Beachcomber for a laid-back island vibe, The Shamrock for classic comfort food, Circle M for something a little special, and Sunset Restaurant at Beaver Island Lodge for an unforgettable view with dinner. For breakfast, coffee, or a quick lunch, Paradise Bay Coffee Shop and The Wild Strawberry are must-visits.
Youâll also find a wonderful library, a local museum, the charming St. James Pottery Studio with beautiful handmade pieces, and even a nostalgic old toy shop thatâs a delight for kids and grown-ups alike. Itâs a small town with a big heartâand a place where every stroll seems to lead to a new discovery.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
Our cabin, Ardenstone, sits in a peaceful corner of the island, surrounded by towering trees and the steady rhythm of the waves against the rocky shore. The neighborhood is quiet and private, but you're never far from a beach, a trailhead, or a friendly face. What we love most is the sense of calm and connectionâwhether itâs hearing the call of loons, watching eagles glide overhead, or chatting with neighbors who share a love for the islandâs beauty.
Ardenstone is a cozy, peaceful cabin perched right on the waterâso close, youâll almost feel like youâre on a boat. The view stretches wide across the lake, giving you front-row seats to breathtaking sunrises and brilliant, star-filled skies at night.
What makes it truly special is how it feelsâquiet, quaint, and deeply connected to nature. Waves gently lap against the rocky shore, eagles soar overhead, and the surrounding trees offer a sense of privacy and calm. Thereâs even beach access just to the side of the cabin, where we own an additional piece of property for you to enjoyâperfect for swimming, skipping stones, or just soaking in the peaceful rhythm of the island.
Inside, Ardenstone is filled with warm, simple touches that make it feel like home. Itâs a place to unplug, unwind, and reconnectâwhether you're curled up with a book, sipping coffee as the sun rises, or ending your day around a beach fire under the stars.
