La maison est parfaite pour un groupe qui s'amuse et se détend à l'été. Il y a une grande cour clôturée qui est idéale pour faire du barbecue en jetant un frisbee autour ou tout simplement se détendre. Maine's Hidden Cove Brewery se trouve être à 1 mille de la maison. We came here for Labor Day weekend for a family wedding. The house and location were perfect. House was very clean and there were more than enough supplies (kitchen items, soap, tp, towels, etc). Host was more than accommodating when we reached out about check in. Great stay, would stay here again!

Nice house a short walk from beach. Kitchen and dining room easily accommodated 6 people. Outdoor shower was great after the beach. Primary bedroom was great size but other bedrooms are small with limited space to store clothes and luggage.

Excellent Location

The space was perfect for my family (2 adults, 2 kids), my brother, sister in law and mother. The kitchen and dinning area were great for getting together after a day at the beach, shopping or visiting. Although the cottage is not a new build, it is clean, is well stocked with dishes, towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, cleaning supplies. The owner called us prior to our stay to let us know the cottage was ready and gave a courtesy call to let us know someone would come by and cut the grass. Very much walking distance from the larger Wells Beach area. Plus the weather was fantastic. Would not hesitate to return.

The house is in a great location a 2 minute walk to Wells Beach. We went back and forth all day long. There is an ice cream shop, restaurant, surf shop and arcade all with 5 min walk. Our kids ventured out on their own to get ice cream and play at the arcade. It is a 10 minute drive to plenty of restaurants and shopping. The house itself is older but very clean. There are three bedrooms upstairs and a small one downstairs with bunkbeds. The living room and dining room have plenty of space for a big family. I loved the porch and spend most mornings out there. There is a downstairs shower and and outdoor shower. The bathroom upstairs is only a half bath. We had a great stay and enjoyed the house very much.

Needs Help

Although the location was great this cottage needed a lot of work to make it better looking. The outside had missing shingle and lots of wood rot. The bathrooms both indoors and the outside shower were in severe need of updating. All the faucets leaked as well as the downstairs toilet. The outside shower’s back wall was moldy and dirty. The location is outstanding and the kitchen and dining area were in decent shape. We loved the front porch and the kids enjoyed the cable tv. So if you can put up with dirty leaky bathrooms than you will love this cottage.

Great location/great layout

We loved the location of this rental! Such easy access to a quiet part of Wells Beach. The kitchen and dining area was spacious and didn’t even feel crowded for our family of 8! I didn’t give it 5 stars for a few reasons. The house could use a good paint job and some general upkeep. The house was a little messy, as extra sheets and blankets, etc. were just stuffed in drawers and dressers. The only full bath is located inconveniently in relation to the bedrooms. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the location is amazing.

It’s our Happy Place!

We have been going to this perfect small house for years. It suits our needs and the beach is within walking distance, right down the short street! The house does need the bathrooms updated but there’s air conditioning in most rooms (thanks Dave) and it’s clean and inviting. And quite charming. We just love it.

Ah-mazing !!

We rented this adorable beach house for a quiet bachelorette weekend of relaxation and let me tell you it was freaking adorable!! Very close to the beach and the outside shower was perfect!! Falling asleep to the ocean and waves wad super relaxing. Just what I wanted for a girls weekend away. Thanks so much !!!

great stay!

We had a great time at this house! Dave was so easy to communicate with, the house was clean, and perfect for our group ranging in age from 2-45. We found a spot on the beach that didn’t disappear at high tide. But even when we were done, the yard space was great to hang out in for the kids. Neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Even on July 4 the fireworks ended at 10. The ACs in the windows were great for the kids. The only two things I wish we had were black out curtains for the rooms the kids slept in (everyone up at 530! haha) and twinkle lights for the porch. Extremely minor suggestions though overall. We could not have asked for a better vacation!

A little disappointed

The listing says there is an outdoor shower which was one of the factors in choosing this house because I LOVE outdoor showers. Unfortunately, upon arriving it was clearly obvious the shower had been out of commission for quite some time as the pieces were completely disconnected and the door was laying inside the shower. The only shower in the house is very outdated and if you are over 5' 5" forget taking a comfortable shower because you will be staring down at the shower head. The knobs spew water out as soon as you turn them. The beds are decently comfortable thank goodness. The location is great other than the beach dissappears at high tide which really wasn't an issue for us. The couch is super comfy. The kitchen is decently sized. Room for a few people to move around at once. Aside from the less than ideal shower situation, it is a very nice property just in need of some TLC. The porch is very nice as well especially with the cross breeze when the windows are open!

Girls Trip 2021

The Gull House was beautiful, clean and so welcoming. Our group of 6 slept very comfortably with room to spare. We enjoyed sharing meals in the beautiful kitchen and adored being a 2 minute walk to the beach. We particularly loved sitting on the beautiful screened in porch in the morning and using the outdoor shower after fun at the beach. The house is in driving distance to many shops and restaurants that we enjoyed visiting. Dave was so pleasant to work with and provided clear instructions for check in and check out which made our check in and check out process so easy. Thank you again Dave for hosting us in your beautiful home!

The property was in great location and though needed a little updating was very clean. I just wished there were more instructions for what was expected at checkout ie swept, towels washed ect. Quick response from owner when asking about checking in never appeared on app.

Location is great but the house could use some more DLC

Our family consists of 6 adults and 3 kids. The listing states “sleeps 9” though we never found an area for the 9th to sleep. The 8 year old slept on an air mattress in the master bedroom. The biggest disappointment was the bathroom situation. Both are small and need updating. The shower was difficult to find a good temperature with. The outdoor shower seemed nicer to me than showering indoors. The location worked out very nicely as we were a short walk to the beach and to a few stores. It is also not a far drive to mini-golf, ice cream and many restaurants. We enjoyed walking to the rollover cafe down the road. The beach itself is beautiful but unfortunately there is no beach left come high tide. While it is not listed as an amenity, not having a lobster pot and crackers seems kind of crazy for a Maine beach rental! I think for the amount of money we paid to rent for the week, my family and I expected a more updated home.

Cute and clean house

The house was very clean when we arrived. The main part of living is updated nicely (bathrooms not as updated but not a problem). Dave responded quickly to all of my questions before arrival. Short walk to the water and very close drive to Ogunquit and shops/restaurants. We would stay there again and would recommend to our friends/family.

Beautiful home by the ocean!

This house is just steps away from the ocean and a minutes drive from all Wells has to offer! The home itself is well appointed and we never had a moment of "oh, I wish I had that". The kitchen is sufficiently stocked with all of the necessary kitchen gadgets, as well as everything you'll need for preparing, cooking, & serving. Though, the real selling point of this property is the beautiful beach, which is just steps away from your front door! Watch the tide chart (or the tide clock in the kitchen) and at low tide you will be delighted! We stayed off season and pretty much had the entire beach to ourselves! Just glorious! We also found the host of this property to be very responsive & accommodating! Thanks, Antonell family!

More than we could've imagined!!!

Our stay was amazing because the house was perfect! From the first steps into the beautiful front porch and on into the spacious living room, the beach cottage theme completely flowed throughout. Just when you felt totally at home, the huge and updated kitchen was gorgeous and completely stocked with great quality kitchenware of everything you could ever need. Great cottage, great location.

Loved the old cottage-y feeling. Could have used some fans upstairs - weather those days was unbearable. Location of the house was cooling, though. Proximity to beach was perfect. Loved decor of house, and size of kitchen. Great place, great memories!
