Stay comfortably in Pittsburgh at this 1-bedroom apartment attached to our home, but completely private, with a separate entrance. Relax in the serene bedroom with a full bed or unwind in the marvelous living room with a cozy sofa bed, cook up a meal or snack in our kitchenette (mini fridge, hot plate, microwave, cookware). Relax on the large deck with seating and dining areas overlooking our lovely backyard or grill away on the gas grill. Enjoy the gorgeous bathroom with a refreshing shower. This property offers essential amenities like an iron, AC, hair dryer, WiFi, baby/kids’ gear, toys, books and heating. We offer laundry/cleaning service for guests staying a week or more. We hope you'll enjoy your stay at our apartment. Please note we have two dogs which use the backyard but are fenced off from the deck and our guests. They are friendly but can be talkative and we keep them away from guests. We have outdoor security cameras. Guests can bring a fridge magnet from their home city and exchange it with one of ours! :)

The host had a bunch of animals making noises all throughout the night at the door. The house is very small and make sure you read the description to EVERYTHING. The place was ok just wasn’t what I expected.It seemed as though they could hear me through the walls bc I was texted about smoking when I never smoked anywhere on the property.

I stayed at this apartment while visiting family in Pittsburgh. I was pleased with the location in a safe neighborhood, as well as the amenities. There was nothing that I needed, all was provided. Everything was clean. I didn't need to contact the host, everything was fine. But I did get a chance to visit with Lisa before I checked out. She was lovely and welcoming. I will gladly book a stay again next time I visit family in Pittsburgh.

A little tricky to find the house but overall a cute, cozy stay. One pillowcase had hair on it, and the pull-out couch my daughter slept on was very uncomfortable. Apartment was clean. We didn't use the outdoor space, but it was lovely.

Hi! We send out written driving directions in case gps is a fail. Sorry you had difficulties but I assume it’s because you didn’t see them. We have added gps coordinates to our guide. We wish you had mentioned the sofa bed was not comfy as we could have remedied it. We will add a topper. No one else has complained so we were not aware.

A Cozy Stay at Forest Hills Haven!

My son and I were in town visiting family, and this was the perfect place to have some quiet time between activities. The hosts truly thought of everything that would make traveling with a toddler a breeze: a pack-and-play outfitted with Bluey plushies, a high chair with child-friendly dishes, a toy box, and board books. Even a cute hooded toddler towel! I was so impressed with their thoughtfulness and hospitality. If you are looking for a cozy place to have some respite while visiting the city, this is the place for you!

Very nice, quaint apartment. Not too fancy, not too plain. Just right. Host has thought of nearly everything that you might’ve forgotten when it comes to toiletries and miscellaneous. I used the aloe vera because I got sun burned and the umbrella because it rained & the Blow dryer so I didn’t have to bring mine. Neighborhood was safe. Did 5 miles and saw friendly people and dogs, felt safe. Friendly hosts.

This cozy one bedroom apt is located in a quiet and safe suburban neighborhood. If you have a car, it is only a short distance drive to downtown or university of Pittsburgh. The bed is very comfortable. The rooms are small but very clean and feel cozy and chic. It does not have a full kitchen but has microwave, refrigerator, and gas grill which has a burner. The host is very accommodating and makes sure we have all our questions answered and have a pleasant stay. Indeed, we did!

Unfortunately, VRBO is allowing properties to claim they have a kitchen or kitchenette when all they have is a microwave and small fridge thrown in a corner of a living area. No sink, no stovetop, this one didn't even have a toaster oven, just a bread toaster. This happened once before and it's very frustrating. This property also has dogs who bark at random times. The living area itself was as advertised, minus the kitchenette. It was a short visit so it worked out.

I grew up in NY, lived several years in DC and moved to Pittsburgh a few years ago. I speak Spanish and basic Portuguese and adore traveling, cooking, reading and hiking. I love our Burgh and have fun preparing a space for others to love it, too! I take care in designing and maintaining the Forest Hills Haven so guests can enjoy their stay as much as possible and send friends!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We adored our house the minute we saw it and the neighborhood of Forest Hills lives up to its name as it’s full of both! Our neighborhood, just over 7 miles from downtown, is an oasis of lovely old homes in various architectural styles, lovely neighbors and a bunch of dogs— what’s not to love! We are close to downtown but are our own little village.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

My house is over 100 years old, built in the Craftsman style and has been lovingly preserved. It boasts the beautiful sloping roofs, dormer windows and wide porch that make it so welcoming. In addition, our lovely two room suite on the first floor is located off the deck, allowing an expansive view of our backyard. The suite has everything you’ll need for a cozy and relaxed stay and with its large windows, affords a lovely view of nature.
