This was a fantastic location that was convenient yet affordable! The place was clean when I checked in, was spacious enough to host several of my friends, and the checkout process was super easy! I definitely recommend this place if you want somewhere that is accommodating and reasonably close to downtown!
This place is a nice, clean, basic place to stay with lots of available street parking. Easy check-in/out. Close walk to the incline, overlooks & the restaurants on Grandview, long but doable walk to The Point & other locations downtown. It is also easy to get an Uber to/from the unit.
You will need to bring your own coffee/tea, condiments, spices, etc. as the place has utensils, cups, cookware, a coffee maker, etc but nothing else.
The host was very communicative and kind.
Went to pens and steeler game weekend of fun great cozy lil home no issue parking no more than a 10 min uber anywhere we wanted to go ,fantastic prompt responses from owner would and will rent again !
A nicely updated interior, spacious bedrooms, comfortable seating for living room. Corey was very responsive and willing to assist with minor requests. The cookware was falling apart but worked for our stay. Was curious if the window AC units would keep the bedrooms cool, and they did. Clean and spacious refrigerator. Overall it is nice little place, close to a dog park for pets and close to a scenic overlook of the city from the incline. Will keep this place in mind for future visits is still being rented.
We enjoyed our stay but there were some issues. the neighborhood is convenient and the location was really what we wanted. The suite itself had a few issues but we worked through them. the wifi went in and out several times while we stayed, there were ants in the kitchen every morning (the owner had traps placed by the window and the corner of the counter near the sink but that did not resolve the ant issue), and the toilet in the only bathroom constantly got clogged. I had to plunge the toilet around 8-10 times during our 4 night stay. The owner was very communicative and I informed them of these issues but told them that we could live with them since our stay was short. Hopefully these will be resolved for future guests.
overall we enjoyed the stay. Thanks again.
Overall, this place was close enough to everything - made it easy to get to and from each event. There are even some restaurants within walking distance, given you have quite a bit of uphill walking to do. The concerns my colleagues and I had were regarding the cleanliness of the place. We found some dirty cookware to start. The bathroom has what appears to be black mold because there is no ventilation within the bathroom itself. Wires for the outlet to plug in the TV were just hanging on the side of the fireplace with a plug/box sitting on the mantle. We even had a mouse running around the place while we were there. The place isn't terrible, but it really needs some attention. For a group of guys, we managed just fine. If our wives were with us, I'm betting my review would be a bit different.
This home made us visit Pittsburgh very convenient. Location is good, 5 minutes walk to Duquesne incline and Point of view statue; parking is good(just in front of the house ); it is quiet so I can sleep well; it is spaciouse inside the house; I basically found every thing I need, e.g. Water boiler , dish wash stuff(didn't use dish washer), ziploc, ...those may not provide in some places. It would be much better if cleaning work improves a little bit: I found a small cooking pot and a baking plate unwashed , the used coffee cup still in the Keurig, bathroom could be more clean. I would like to say Thank You to the apartment owner.
The place is clean and in a great location. The entry process and WiFi have been recently updated which werenât documented so we had to reach out to the owner. He was quick to respond, though. Little details like that need attention through the space. For example, some of the pots could stand replacing to make the kitchen easily useable. But any little items like that were offset by having a good location, a kid friendly space, and a really easy check out. We would come back again!
Really enjoyed our stay here, great views, easy access to all the city points we had planned (mostly a college visit and "get to know Pittsburgh") getaway for the first time with the family in a year. Great apartment, very comfortable, well stocked in bathroom. Responsive owner. Would definitely stay here again.
Hey! My name is Corey, and I am your host at Plymouth Street. I want welcome you to Mount Washington. I am a resident of the neighborhood and just a few short blocks away with my family! We love sharing this great neighborhood and the Steel City with new people!
On the weekends you will usually find me around the neighborhood, either walking our dog Lunchbox on one of the many hiking trials in the Mount. Or you may find me a the Bigham Tavern hanging out with friends playing darts and catching a game. If the Steelers have a home game then you will definitely find me at at Heinz Field, as I am a long time season ticket holder. I may even have tickets available for purchase.
I am a full time real estate professional and love design and hunting for cool stuff. I grew up in Pittsburgh, and moved away for college in New England on a basketball scholarship. After my college days ended I took my skills across the pond and played professional hoops in Europe (England, Germany, and Spain) It was at this time I really discovered my passion for travel and meeting new people and embracing new cultures.
Thanks for taking some more time to check out my place and my profile Feel free to reach out with any questions!
