Star Hill Golf Course is up the road and is open to the public for both golf and for use of the swimming pool. Public access for the pool is $20 per guest. The owner`s of Gaffer`s Restaurant in Emerald Isle have just taken over the restaurant at the golf course `Birdies At Star Hill` and will be open to the public starting May 22, 2025.

Carteret County Speedway is less than 5 minutes away and the current racing season has begun. Hammock`s Beach State Park is just 10 minutes away and the ferry is up and running to Bear Island. You can also paddle out to the island via a kayak. Emerald Isle`s Western Access is about a 10 minute ride. From April 13th to September 15th you will need to pay to park. Cost is $4 per hour - not to exceed $16 a day.

Mac Daddy`s Entertainment Center is less than a mile from the property and offers dining, bowling, go-karts and mini golf. Great fun for the entire family.

Croatan National Park is also a short drive and offer`s hiking at the Cedar Point Tideland Trail - a 1.6 mile loop on the White Oak River. Also has a small boat launch for your kayak.
