This house has been my family vacation home since 1975. It was built in 1917. The cottage has all the charm of a home built in 1975. Be aware, that you can tell when you walk in that it was built in 1975. The "hardwood" floors are the true hardwood boards that were put down in 1917. We hope your family enjoys our vacation house as much as my family has enjoyed it.
We loved that all 12 in our family could stay together. The house was clean and had plenty of space. A clearer idea of where all the bathrooms were located would have been helpful - didnât realize that one of the two upstairs bathrooms is actually an en-suite but we made it work! Loved sitting on the front porch and enjoying the lake view.
The beauty and peacefulness of Lake Junaluska is unmatched. There is lots to do in the area but it is also an awesome place to rest, relax and unwind. There are. beautiful gardens and a walking path. The scenery will do your heart good!
Our house was built in 1917 and has the charm of an old house. The kitchen and baths has been modernized. Nothing is fancy or elaborate but it is comfortable. There is a separate heating/AC unit for each floor.
It is comfortable but it is an old house. The swing and rockers on the porch are heaven as are the views.
