Thank you for taking the time to put together a list of strengths & weaknesses regarding our property for your family vacation. You are absolutely correct that the location, view and layout of the property is terrific! In addition, over the past six months, Ocean Club Property Owners Association has constructed a new swimming pool complex, which is easily the best on the Isle of Palms. Built in hot tub, grilling stations and zero entry make this pool amazing. Thank you for your note regarding several maintenance items you experienced during your stay. When there is a maintenance concern, our number one goal is to repair them as soon as possible. The dishwasher was repaired as well as the shower and master bedroom door. Comcast was contacted, and the main cable box was replaced by the technician, restoring service in the living room. In addition, a new stand-alone ice maker was purchased to further enhance the production of ice in the property. Wild Dunes Resort, has a private country club that operates within the Resort Community. The Tennis Center, Swim Center and Fitness Room are private and reserved for Club Members. The Wild Dunes Activity Card, the Sports Card, provides visitors to the island access to these private country club amenities. Without the Sports Card, a visitor would not be able to use any of these facilities regardless of being willing to pay for access. The Sports Card does allow free access to the Swim Center, Grand Pavilion & Palm Cove Pool, and access to the Tennis Center, which charges a per hour fee, & the fitness room, which also has daily charges. Again, without the Sports Card, these areas would off limits to non-Club Members. The property owner must purchase one every year for their guest, which is nearly a $3,000 expense. It is a wonderful amenity to offer visitors to the Resort. Most of the Ocean Club condos are full time residents & second homes that are not offered as vacation rentals. Since most condos are occupied by residents, the garage area is reserved for their exclusive use. There are several parking areas reserved for visitor’s steps away from elevators on the exterior of the building. Thank you again for your patience and we apologize for the frustration & inconvenience you experienced during your stay on the island as a result of these items.
