À propos de cet hébergement
Four Sisters Lodge-Spacious 5-bedroom house in fabulous Mazama with WiFi, AC
Situated on scenic Freestone Lake in Mazama, this waterfront lodge is located a short walk to the Freestone Inn, with easy access to the inn’s hot tub, swimming pool, Sandy Butte Bistro & Bar and Jack's Hut Pizza & Brews. This 3-to-5-bedroom home is really, more, a great hall, with the large central space flanked on either side by two bedroom wings. The great room, with it's high vaulted ceiling, is the heart of the house, with the living, dining, kitchen, and video nook in the same space. A series of windows and doors look north to Freestone lake, as well as Goat Rocks, across the valley. The deck outside faces the lake, with a propane BBQ, and outdoor seating.
About 100 yards away is a small swimming area, dubbed 'South Beach' that is a great, and safe, summer hang-out. The Methow trail system runs through the Freestone area, and in winter you can ski out the door. In summer the paths make great bike trails.
There are two bedrooms with bath en suite-one of which has a queen size bed , a jacuzzi tub and a freestanding fireplace; and the second, has a king size bed and a private bath with a regular size tub/shower. These bedrooms are on the fireplace side of the great hall. There are three other bedrooms that share the main-floor bathroom. Two of these rooms have queen beds, and the third (what we call the kids room) has a bunk bed, as well as a twin trundle. All rooms have nice outlook to the nature surrounding the house. We are making the house available as either a 3-, 4-, or 5-bedroom house. If you desire either the 3-, or 4-bedroom then please indicate on your reservation form what your bedroom needs are (either queen, and/or 'kids' room.
There is a stacking washer/dryer for longer stays, or to dry out the winter wetness. The kitchen is full, with dishwasher, stove/oven, microwave, drip coffee maker, and (or course) wine bottle opener. Pretty much everything you need, even a EV class 2 charging station that works for all electric vehicles.
Room Description
1-King room with private baths; 1-Queen room with private bath; 2- Queen rooms with shared bath, and 1-'kid's room', with a twin bunk bed, and a twin trundle.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION:
1)It is the responsibility of the guest to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Steven's Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia river to the Methow Valley. If one route is closed, it is the YOUR responsibility to make alternate plans for travel. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken and add additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter and mountain passes can be closed anytime of the year because of wildfires, rockslides or other occurrences. Directions over all the routes will be sent to. you 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to check pass reports(and they can change while you are en route) and print out the directions before you leave.
2)Trail Access/Closure Information:
If you are coming to hike, bike, or ski on a trail or system of trails which happen to be closed before or during your stay, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. Trail closures can occur anytime because of fire, rockslides, mud flows...and we have no control over this. There are many hiking, biking trails of various kinds in the Methow Valley. If access to the North Cascades National Park is closed via Hwy 20 for any reason, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. There are a number of beautiful hikes in and around our valley that we would be happy to recommend.
INTERNET POLICY
**We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.
Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding!
IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION POLICY :
**Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA
**WEATHER CONDITIONS**
We cannot be responsible for winter weather conditions. If you will be arriving during the winter, please be sure you have proper equipment for driving in the snow, and carry tire chains for driving over the passes. Our local roads are always kept open and in good condition for winter travel. There are no refunds for road closures; however, if both Stevens and Snoqualmie mountain passes are closed for more than eight hours and the closures prohibit you from reaching the property, you may reschedule your stay for an arrival within three months of the pass closures. Please note that the North Cascades Pass is always closed during winter.
We recommend you check weather conditions before driving through the passes during the winter, either through the DOT's website.
**Propane Fireplace--The propane stove is a supplemental heating source not the main one. If there should be tech issues or the propane fireplace during your stay, please send a message through the VRBO platform Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given. The guest will use the main electric heating source at any times that the propane stove may be out of operation.
**Pool/Hot Tub Usage: The Freestone Hot Tub is privately owned and maintained by the FreeStone Inn. Methow Reservations nor the Four Sisters owners are responsible for closures of the pool or hot tub. NO Refunds will be given for any closures during their stays. The Pool is open seasonally and the hot tub is in operation 24/7 when available. Please note that the Freestone Inn DOES NOT provide extra towels, so please do not request any. Also please bring ALL Four Sisters Lodge towels back when done with hot tub/pool usage. NO REFUNDS are given if either pool or hot tub are available.
