Hello Norman, Thank you so much for your feedback. Your comments will help me create an even better experience for my guests than I already do. I like your idea of making the information for the television and thermostat a bit more prominent than its current location on the shelf under the television. But I am so glad I was able to come over to the house and help you with the television and the thermostat within two minutes of your call. Like every other area of our house, our lower level is meticulously cleaned. It also very dry and sweet smelling under normal circumstances. As I explained to you in a text of apology I initiated and sent the day after your departure, we had an unusual situation occur. It seems a little critter had found his way into the exterior dryer vent and had become trapped and perished sometime during your stay. The cleaning team and I noticed the odd smell the second we entered the lower level because it was so out of the ordinary. I immediately called my handyman who was able to quickly repair the tiny security breach in the outside vent and clean out the dryer exhaust vent from top to bottom, thus rectifying the issue. I wish you would you would have let me know about the an odd smell that had developed after your arrival, so I could have taken care of it for you. I pride myself in being very responsive to my guests, as you saw when you called for assistance using the television. Our lower level is meticulously cleaned, is kept very dry and has always smelled fresh and clean prior to this unusual incident. The mid-stay cleaning we offered you (and all our guests) for $100 includes a complete house cleaning from top to bottom, a change of bed linens and all fresh towels. You declined this service. I was happy to have extra towels delivered when we did, but imagined you were using the laundry facilities prior to that. I should have communicated more clearly with you about that. My apologies. I have very high standards for my business and take exceptional pride in the level of service and the degree of cleanliness I provide my guests. In the 17 months since I began hosting travelers, I have never received anything but a 5-star review. I appreciate your comments and will use them to improve.
