This is a beautiful home in a great neighborhood. The location is peaceful and the perfect family getaway. The host was great and super helpful and answered every question. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
Ive rented vacation home for almost 40 years and this was the most disappointing unit. On arrival I found instructions stating the owner would access the garage at times, this was not disclosed in the rental agreement. Having pets this was not welcome news. Day 2 I bought major groceries only to discover the fridge door was full with leftover condiments which I made several trips to the downstairs fridge to make room for my things- I was staying 28 days. A few days later woke up to discover the fridge was not working. I made several trips to the basement fridge to salvage what hadn't spoiled. The TV pixelated often and was an old Vizio so many apps were not available. The wifi often dropped sometimes every few minutes which annoyed friends and family who visited. One bed had np box springs and very hard on your hands to make up. Bed in another room the foam under the cover was lumped in several areas. The box springs for that bed sat on the floor- no slats to the bed.
All pillows were flat as pancakes or the foam was in lumps and one was yellowed with stains. Only a handful of hangers was available. No lamps on nightstands. the middle bedroom was very dim. The unit is not suitable for families with small children due to no door or gate at the top of the stairs. My dog is blind. Couches very worn and/or torn. The owner responded quickly to fridge problem which he was aware of. I fixed fridge problem myself using his instructions.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay up in the Wolverine Lake area. The home has plenty of space, a nice enclosed deck for hanging out on days where the weather allows it, and a huge open backyard area for entertaining or just relaxing. There's a nice little path around the back for walking a dog if you have one, and the basement is nicely finished and furnished with a bar area. Highly recommend!
