Truly God's Country

My family and I absolutely loved our stay in the lake. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed and the pictures were very accurate. The amazing views from the deck were stunning, I watched the sun rise every day. The house was far enough way to relax but close to town for anything you may need. We experienced some awesome trails, got to see a moose, white water rafting in Colorado River, cliff jumping, just so many more fun times! I will definitely return to this house, the owners have done a wonderful job making it the perfect place. 💕

We were very impressed with how well this VRBO was equipped, stocked with lots of seasonings & basic cooking ingredients & equipment, comfortable beds, lots of linens & blankets, awesome view of Green Mountain Reservoir! It was easy to find. We would like to return for another visit in the future!

Beautiful view of Green Mountain reservoir

Lovely view! Some things I would recommend… steak knives are needed. Heat stayed on entire time… and it was hot. The garbage disposal didn’t work. It would have been nice to have a small cooler to use. We rented a boat and enjoyed the reservoir… a cooler would have been nice. I realize that not everyone has the same needs in a location…. The place was very clean and the view was lovely.

Spacious waterside getaway.

This great house was very clean. The bedrooms are big and the living room is huge. We enjoyed the basement family room. The well equipped kitchen was a plus; we appreciated all the extra gadgets, utensils, and linens. We would definitely stay there again!

Lovely Colorado Staycation

We met friends from Denver for a nice weekend in Heeney at this home. It was spacious with a great kitchen and deck. We were close to some good hiking and the view of the lake from the house was lovely. It was very conducive to hanging out and playing games with friends and family.

Peaceful property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. It was spacious, quiet, and peaceful. I only wish I had more time on our trip to sit out on the deck! Just a note to future visitors: make sure you print out or take a screen shot of your entry code for the house ahead of time. We didn't have any connection on our phones when we got there (T-mobile), so we couldn't access Vrbo or email to get the entry code. We had to drive halfway back to Silverthorne before we had a connection and got the code. Once you get in the house, the wifi works fine. In any case, I would stay here again!

Gorgeous Heeney Haven

Our family of 6 had a fantastic stay in this clean, comfortable, nice home with an incredible view of the Green Mountain Reservoir. Beautiful drive and close enough to shopping and restaurants. The small Heeney community and Marina has such neat character! We also loved the Lower Cataract Lake hike. Host family has put great work into the house and was helpful and responsive! Thank you for a fabulous vacation for our family that we looked forward to for a long time.

Nice getaway

This was a great house for our three 19 year olds and are 14 year old daughter. There was plenty of room the house was clean, neat and organized I especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. There was not direct Lake access nor was there air conditioning but with the windows open it cooled down in the evenings. We found plenty to do traveling between Silverthorne, Frisco, Dillon, Kerrling, RMNP, Grand Lake and Estes Park.

Excellent location and convenient

The home is as described in the listing. We enjoyed our stay. Checkin process was easy and plenty to do around the house. Loved the memory foam mattress My only complain is the bedsheets and becomes weren't washed and smelled used when we arrived.

Relaxing!!

This was one of our favorite trips to relax! The views of the lake are incredible from the house and deck. The house was beautiful and welcoming. We rented a boat one day and hiked another day. We can't say enough great things about this place! We can't wait to come back.

Amazing get away!

If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is it! You can hear the lake from the bedrooms hitting the rocks at night, which is very peaceful. The inside of the house is beautiful with breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. It has close walking access to the lake.

Beautiful Location

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful lakeside cabin. The decks are perfect for meals and just hanging out. 3 bathrooms were a must for 8 of us. One of them even has a window view of the lake. The nearby trails down Cataract Road are only a short drive. One downside was the jetted tub needed cleaned but other than that our stay was perfect.

Happy in Heeney

The property was large and nicely remodeled. It was perfect for my kids celebration of almost married, but due to covid their ceremony was cancelled and this was the next best thing to be with the wedding party for fun and boating on Green Mtn. Reservoir.

Fantastic stay, amazing views, everything that You need in the house, Super accommodative host.

We spent unforgettable days in this property. When waking up, there's frozen lake with mountain view right out of the windows. House is extremely clean and has everything that You need. It's about 40 minutes drive from major ski resorts. And special thanks to Katherine, she's truly accommodating super host, was super responsive, went well beyond possible to resolve any issues that we have. Just to give You example: we almost ran out of fuel and she let us borrow her canister to fill it up. The neighborhood is quiet, very nice to walk around in the winter nights. Kids have fun riding snow hills with couple of sleds that Katherine has in the house. House has everything to host couple of families for a perfect gateway, can not wait to go back one more time in Summer or another winter. Couple of things to be aware of. Make sure You rent AWD cars, it’s a steep uphill to get from the property and when it gets icy, it’s got dicey to get out. We have one car AWD system failed and we could not get out this car, so we have to call roadside assistance to replace the car.

We are the Williams Family! Chris is an IT professional in Denver and Katherine Real Estate/property management with 8z Real Estate. We have two beautiful teenage children. It has been a life long dream of ours to own a home in the mountains. We realized this dream in late 2014 in this beautiful home that just needed a little TLC. We've been working on making this house our dream home ever since by spending most of our weekends for the better part of 2.5 years working hard and building memories here in Summit County. We sincerely hope that you will also build many memories here and fill our home with even more love and laughter than we have already.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We've always loved spending time in the mountains and have spent many nights over the years tent camping, water skiing and ice fishing around Green mountain Resevoir. We always looked up against the hill and said that someday, someday we will have a home here.

77 trout Drive was originally built in the 1970's by a spectacular family who spent any extra cash they had to bring up supplies and literally build this home for years piece by piece. When it was time to sell, we were fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time, making us only the second owners of this 2 lot property. We promised them that we would always cherish this home and give it all of the love and attention that it deserved.

Since owning the home a large addition, deck and 2 car garage have been finished to create more living space. We moved the front door and added a couple of bathrooms, replaced all of the plumbing, electrical, windows and doors. We hope that you will see that we spent a lot of time making things nice and appreciate that while doing so, we did our very best to maintain the original charm of this unique home.

Our home features some of the best views and tranquility that you will ever experience. We have a total of 5 beds, a pull out couch and a blow up bed in case you need it. We're close to everything but far enough away that you will feel isolated from the hustle and bustle of the city. Whether you are looking to hike, bike, boat, fish, hunt or just relax, We think that you will find our home the perfect place to spend your precious free time.

Nowadays it can be difficult to unplug so we have added a few amenities to help those that need to get their morning news fix or post their soon to be famous facebook pictures and videos. We have high speed DSL with wireless network and 5 televisions and even a PlayStation2 for those rare rainy days or evenings.

Our home in located in a small community named Heeney. Heeney is full of life and offers some of the best experiences you can have in Colorado.
