After 20 years of marriage, I found myself newly single with three kids to raise: Alex (13), Sarah (9), and my oldest (who loves anonymity ha!). As a social worker by profession, I've spent my career helping families navigate difficult transitions and find moments of peace and connection. The name "Daylight House" comes from that feeling of emerging into brightness after darkness. It's brighter here - and I mean that both literally and metaphorically.

That's why you'll find a stepstool for kids, white noise machines for better sleep, a truly stocked kitchen with spices and kids' dishes, and a coffee bar that actually lets you make a decent latte. But here's the magic: you're only 6 minutes to Sunset Beach and 8 minutes to Ocean Isle Beach. You get to CHOOSE your beach each day based on your mood, the crowds, or what you feel like exploring. Most oceanfront rentals lock you into one spot. We give you options.
The neighborhood itself is peaceful and safe. You'll see families on evening walks, neighbors waving hello, and absolutely zero of the noise and chaos that comes with being directly on the beach strip.
