New Construction cabin that has a rustic feel to it. Location is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cabin is located in the perfect spot for those that love to swim, hike, hunt, and/or float/fish the Kettle River. Turkeys frequent the area daily. The breath-taking views of the Kettle River and the surrounding mountains off the porch of the cabin are the perfect retreat. Yard games, board games, and movies. Or enjoy the peaceful sunsets and sunrises. Full oven/stove, and an oversized mini fridge make meals easy. Beardslee's Diner is right around the corner. And the cute store in Orient is a two-minute walk away in case you forget an essential. The night sky will not disappoint on a clear day. Blackout curtains for a great night rest. The cabin is small, but roomy and can sleep up to 7. There is an additional cabin and RV Spots also available. Call 509-392-1640 to speak to the property host.
As described. Sharing a few comments which might help others. It dipped to 34 degrees at night and the upstairs was a bit chilly. Consider a space heater for upstairs. The only other feedback is that the kitchen stove does not have an exhaust fan, so when cooking indoors, opening the door is required..... but if it's cold outside, keeping the door open may be tricky. Finally, the town store is closed on Sat and Sun- plan ahead and the town restaurant has odd open hours, so plan ahead. One more thing.... if you have balance issues, the stairs heading upstairs is a bit steep (tricky). Loved the Wifi and internet/TV all the cookware, and the BBQ, etc.
This is a really lovely cabin on the Kettle River in Orient. It is just a few steps from the bridge if you plan on a river float which is really fun! The hosts were really great to communicate with. The cabin was well stocked with basic items that we needed. We look forward to staying again next year
The cabin was a great alternative to campingâcomfortable, cozy, and had everything we needed. Check in and out was easy. We unfortunately locked ourselves out and the owner was very helpful. I missed a step in the check-in process directions. The fridge/freezer was just the right sizeâlarger than a dorm fridge but smaller than a full-sized one, which worked perfectly for us. FYI the freezer can hold 2 bags of ice. The 5-cup coffee maker was precisely what we needed to start our mornings, along with a toaster. We were greeted with fresh flowers on the kitchen counter, a thoughtful touch. There were games and WiFi available, making it easy to relax and unwind. As it's a cabin in the woods, we did notice some signs of mice, which can happen in a natural setting like this. It didnât ruin the trip for us, but itâs something to be aware of.The sunrise was gorgeous on the porch. The fold-out couch is downstairs, while the beds are located upstairs. The shower setup was a bit unique, but it added to the charm of the place. There were fans upstairs and downstairs, which cooled the place off at night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning next year!
