Une ville tranquille avec un problĂšme de pĂȘche

Mon grand-pÚre a acheté cette propriété en 1966 au maire de Daytona Beach. C'était deux lots avec une maison en bois de deux chambres et un garage en parpaings. En 2007, mon pÚre a démoli l'ancienne maison et a construit une belle maison sur deux étages, elle est située à 30 miles de Daytona Beach et à 90 miles d'Orlando. Ascenseur à bateaux à double décrochage pour bateaux ou jet-skis. Une grande escapade pour la paix et la tranquillité. Mouillez un crochet ou faites une belle promenade en bateau tranquille. La maison est strictement une maison de vacances sans jamais avoir de résident permanent. Il est trÚs vierge et semble toujours neuf. Tous les vacanciers ont été trÚs impressionnés, commentant que mes photos amateurs ne rendent pas justice! Le service est ma principale préoccupation, je veux dépasser toutes les attentes des vacanciers!

Very nice property on the water with boat house and lift. Nice boat ride to Silver Glenn springs and Salt Springs. Saw several manatees next to the dock over the week stay. Very nicely stocked kitchen. Text the host once and he answered promptly.

Great Area

Absolutely loved location and home site.......having said that, the property advertised sleeps 8 but when we got there we realized there were only 3 beds, no sleeper sofa.....two seniors were not comfortable having to sleep on a couch and on floor......Water location was great and home very spacious.....would go there again if we only have six people......

Fishing getaway in Astor.

My brothers and I stayed at this home for a fishing getaway and it was absolutely perfect. The home is located directly on the St John’s River with access to great fishing. It has a covered boat dock and lift. The house was extremely nice and comes equipped with everything you need. The home owner was proactive with the questions we had, he always responded quickly and was very polite. The entire experience was great, look no further, this is the house. We will be back. Thank you.

Perfect weekend getaway

Spacious home with plenty of room to spread out. Spent most of our time out on the water and enjoying the dock. Cooking options and music on the dock were great. Having the ability to use the boat lift was a huge plus especially with being on the main channel. Communication with the owner was great as he responded almost immediately with any and all questions. Overall great stay and would definitely book again! Thanks for having us!!

Nice getaway

We’ve rented this property a number of times
 usually with two other couples. This trip was a weekend fishing getaway with the hubby. As always, we had a great stay. Perfect setup
 right on the river so you’re on the water in minutes. House is always clean and has everything you need. We’re coming back next month with friends to do it all again!

Another Great Stay on the River

Our second stay and we plan to be back. Crappie fishing was really good and the weather was even better. We really enjoyed the accomadations. Great house with three large king bedrooms. Living area, kitchen, and parking makes for a comfortable life. Fabulous dock with boat lifts. David is very polite and is always available if needed. If you want to visit Astor Fl, I highly recommend this property.

Relaxing right on the water.

The house and amenities are top notch. The dock by the water is very large with porch swings for relaxing in the afternoon. We enjoyed the screened porch during breakfast and dinner. We brought kayaks and a canoe and was able to put them directly into the water from the back yard. I suggest paddling north and taking the first oxbow to the right for quiet water and bird sight seeing.

An awesome property!! Clean, comfortable, very accommodating owners.

We have stayed at numerous waterfront properties and by far this was the best! The house is comfortable and has everything you need to feel right at home. The Carter's were great to work with and went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful vacation. The dock is great! We caught fish and saw alligators and manatees. We also enjoyed watching the eagles and ospreys catching their dinner. We had a great time and will be returning in the near future. Thanks Dave and Sharon!!

A slice of heaven

wow is all I can say about the property. It truly was perfect on multiple fronts. The layout is ideal entertaining cooking and over all relaxation. The dock facility was in excellent condition with close access to a boat ramp fuel and supplies. Dave the owner was truly wanted to make sure our experience was all that we had hoped for. We enjoyed our time at their home so much that we are talking about returning very soon for a longer stay.

FISHING2021

The house sit on the Saint Johns Rivers with a boat house. This makes it easy to start my day just walk out back lower my boat and I was on my way. The house is great plenty of room and was all I needed. This was my third year staying here.

A jewel on the rivier

This property is a jewel on the river. The owner, David, was awesome to deal with on all fronts. The house is modern, clean, and comfortable. David believes in high quality which, as a person who has traveled and stayed at high end hotels around the world, I agree is a standard which he has met. The swing on the dock was my favorite haunt at night to just enjoy the peaceful solitude of the river after dark, watch the black water roll by, and listen to the critters. I look forward to our next trip home to Florida and coming back to Astor to stay at this property.

Perfect Labor Day Weekend Retreat

This is a recently updated, well appointed three bedroom, three bath just north of the Astor bridge. The house was very well renovated and comfortable. King size beds in all 3 bedrooms was a plus, as was the boat house with available slip. The slip has belly straps to hoist a boat, but it didn't work for our in board ski boat.. This is a full speed section on the St. Johns, so you must account for the waves when tying up a boat or jet ski. The house was exactly as advertised. We will be back. Thanks

Great location and host

This was our second time staying here for the July 4th holiday and had a great time again this year! Beautiful updated home with plenty of room and location is hard to beat. Comes with many extra amenities such as a smoker and black stone, boat lift and big dock area right on the river. Dave was a great host and easy to communicate with and responded to any questions right away. This year we did have a couple of minor negatives such as one quite nosy neighbor who was annoying and the house wasn’t as clean as it was the last time when we checked in (inside of microwave and refrigerator were dirty and ceiling fans/light fixtures had heavy dust). Again, minor issues and still would give this property an overall great rating!

Great Relaxing Stay on the River

As the other reviews have stated, this is a great vacation home. We were looking for something clean, on the water, and accommodating for our family. This fit the bill. Everything was clean, the kitchen well stocked, towels, paper towels, TP, the essentials were all there. We loved the screened in patio where we ate dinner with views of the St. Johns River every evening (no bugs), the dock is just awesome, there's a porch swing and a couple chairs to sit and have morning coffee, fish, and watch the boats go by. Beautiful sunsets each night on the dock. We were 15 minutes to three large natural springs that we visited, 3 minutes from Castaway's boat rental. Three big bedrooms with plenty of space in each (they aren't tiny rooms). Really, just everything we were looking for, we can't wait to come back.

This could become an annual “thing”

Our family has been coming to fish in this area for a few years now, and finding this house to stay in was a treasure. Everything we needed was right on the property! After putting our boat in the water we never had to remove it again until we were headed home that is to the boat slip. Our fish were cleaned at the cleaning station on the docks and quickly put away for freezing. Each afternoon we either relaxed while overlooking the river on the dock or the back porch. The house was roomy enough for my family of 4 and the grandparents to congregate when we wanted and separate when we wanted! I can’t say one bad thing about Dave or the home his family is willing to share with world. He even led us in the right direction for meals away from the house.

Absolutely gorgeous!

I am so in love with this property. The house is beautiful and very organized and has anything you'd ever need during your stay. My favorite part however was the dock. I think we spent more time on it than in the house itself. It has plenty of room for fishing or just hanging out enjoying the view. If you have a boat bring it, there's a place to dock it. The dock also has speakers with Bluetooth capabilities which you can connect right to your phone and listen to music while out on it. It's about an hour to an hour and a half boat ride to salt springs or 20 minutes ride to Glenn springs. The owner was very adamant about making it the best experience. If I had to call to ask a question he picked up on the first ring. I've stayed at other properties in the same area but none were as beautiful and relaxing as this. It's absolutely gorgeous! Thanks again Dave!

Can’t wait to return!

Lovely, comfortable, well appointed home. Clean and spacious. Kitchen has everything you could possible need or want. All three king beds were very comfortable. High quality linens and bedding with an abundance of pillows. Large closets. Heavenly master bath with jacuzzi tub. Plenty of parking and an easy drive to nearby restaurants or the historic district of Deland which has great shopping and dining opportunities. The Cater’s were very gracious and welcoming. Great hosts! The back porch had plenty of comfortable seating and a perfect view of the river. The best part of all was the dock. Very well made and equipped with swings and additional seating. Including a fish cleaning station, ample lighting and Bluetooth speakers. This home is a nature lover’s dream! Manatees were viewed daily, along with all manner of birds, fish and other wildlife. Quiet and peaceful. Nirvana! Highly recommend! Hope to return soon!
