Thank you John for being awesome! My mother and my cousin loved the place as did I!! The view was great and the drive to your place was a little treacherous but fun! I would or will book another stay at your cabin in heaven!!
Would be much nicer if given a little TLC. The owner was very nice and attentive. The property just needs cleaning up and refreshing. Needs a good dusting including ceilings around fans, air filters, etc.
The property needs a lot of TLC and updating. It was very clean, but the siding, paint, and carpets need updating. There is no dishwasher and needed more towels and washcloths. The view is phenomenal and it is quiet!
To get to this cabin it was like going on a roller-coaster ride. Every bump was extremely painful for me cause of an injuried back. The house needs alot of repairs. It lacked lighting, which wasn't good for me because I like doing crafts to relax. It had a couch the would eat you so you couldn't get out without assistance. Then the dust in the house resulted me in having asthma attacks. Every day we discovered a new bug which was usely in the house. Outside the bugs tried to carry you away. The host was very nice but because the condition of the house made it an unpleasant vacation.
John was awesome and the wife and I really enjoyed our short stay at this cabin. Quiet and private with a killer view. Exactly what we were looking for. Thanks!
Itâs a nice little spot on the ridge, the views were amazing! Driveway is steep but not too bad if you have a low car itâll be a bit bumpy. Iâd definitely recommend staying here! Not to mention a great host!
The views from the deck are absolutely beautiful. And the drive up to the cabin is very pretty. The cabin itself, however, is very well used and in serious need of renovations: dirty and stained carpeting, cheap furniture that is falling apart, missing window screens, deck gate that needs to be replaced, etc.
An ideal place to stay in every way. Great for anything involving the Nantahala R., Tsali, The Tuckasegee, AT, NOC, etc. Perfect size for couples or small groups/families. I'd definitely stay again anytime.
Cabin was exactly what we were looking for in a getaway stay. Very remote but safe nestled in the woods. We are big hikers and enjoyed all our hikes in the area including one on Flint Ridge trail where we actually encountered a bear. Will definitely be booking again in the future.
Beautiful location and had everything needed. Owner was fantastic to help out with some of the troubles we ran into and was quick to help! Thanks for the fun stay
We came down for GAF at the NOC and it was the perfect place just a few minutes away from so many things. John the owner was great to work with. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.
Everything is great about this place! We loved staying in a more rural part of the Smoky Mountains where we could enjoy the beauty and the smaller-town atmosphere of Bryson City without all the traffic. The sunsets and hot tub were wonderful - as was the nearby Nantahala Outdoor Center. We did not want to leave, and hope to return soon! I recommend bringing an SUV or higher clearance vehicle as opposed to a sports car - it's easier to drive up the hill on the gravel road.
Located right around the corner from everything to do in Cherokee. It was just perfect for everyone in the family. Nice a cozy up on the mountain with a beautiful view. Very peaceful on the porch drinking a cup of coffee watching the sunrise and set.
My wife and I lived in Va.Beach always like the mountain. While in Al. on business. We pick up a brochure to rent a cabin in the smoky mountain. We spent a week in a small cabin with no view, that not what we came to the mountain to see. We meet a real state person that loves the area show us place after place. After a fewer days we fell in love with Bryson City and them he show the cabin we were looking for (Over The Edge) it needed work but setting on the deck it look like a million dollar. So 10 year later we donât get there as much as we would like so we hope you will love it as much as we do. Thanks John & Vickie Chappell
