My family loved our stay. The location was perfect for walking to coffee, restaurants, hot springs & shopping. The home was clean and perfect size for 3 couples & 2 dogs. The house also had everything you could need and more (kitchen stuff, dog clean up, and games). We will be back!
Weâve stayed here a few days in February for many years. This is by far the nicest Vrbo weâve ever stayed in. Itâs more like using a friendâs vacation home because of the way they provide for the guests. I canât say enough good about them.
This was for a family Thanksgiving. Our son owns a home 3 blocks away so we were familiar with the area. Too much family for only his house and this was perfect for our daughter and family and my husband and I. The location to shopping and restaurants was wonderful. Everyone either skied all day or spent time walking around town. We loved the house. It was comfortable and well stocked with anything you might want! We appreciated the quick response to any questions from the host. We loved staying here.
Our stay at this amazing property gave us time as a family to relax, enjoy and reconnect. My family loved this place I reserved and because it was so warm and inviting it made our time together so much more special. Everyone was comfortable and it is such a great location. Thank you.
What a perfect place to stay in Pagosa Springs! Great location, amazing front porch with comfortable chairs. Loved the hot tub, comfortable seating in living room for everyone and kitchen that was well equipped!
Couldnât have asked for any better. Walking distance to everything.
Clean, well stocked home. They have thought of everything. Colorado weather was un typically warm for this time of year, so we had to adjust things to keep the house cool.
Hosts were great & easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay there if we go to Pagosa Springs again.
The house was ideal for our girl's trip and it was perfectly situated for exploring town on foot. The house was just as charming as it appears in the listing and the garden was lovely, offering privacy and a few deer. The upstairs deck overlooking the downtown area was ideal for relaxing in the rain. Would return again- when the house is available.
We all decided this house was the best weâve ever rented, the kitchen had everything, from big to small cookware and bowels, loved the layout, the big dinning table for family meals, what can I say, everything about this house and the location is amazing, we walked to the Springs and Roses for breakfast,, also the owners were very generous in giving us a 2:00 check out the day we left.so we had extra rest and cleaning and packing time.
Just canât say enough things about this place.

The home and location are both fantastic. Lots of space for a small group. The hosts were great, very easy and accommodating and even gave a little bonus for some baked goods from down the street. Walked to the hot springs and the best parts of main Street. Will def be back.
The house was just as described with comfortable beds and everything we needed. The location is great, there are plenty of places within walking distance including the hot springs.
We had a group of six adults, the house was perfect and very clean! The process was easy and seamless from beginning to end! Highly recommend this home!!
We were looking for a place to stay within walking distance to the springs, some restaurants, and shopping. The house did not disappoint. They were also sweet enough to give us a gift certificate to the bakery and one of the hot spring places. They also have games and toys for kids to play with during down time.
This property was perfect, we will definitely stay here again! The proximity to town was an easy walk or very short drive. It was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Lots of space to enjoy family. Hot tub, balcony, yard, and porches were a bonus. Communication was great and they even left us a $25 gift certificate to the Pagosa Bakery which was amazing! We had a wonderful time at this property. It was well stocked with every thing youâd need or want. Highly recommended. Thank you!!
The property is gorgeous and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. The communication with owner was quick and efficient. The location is perfect! We walked to the hot springs, dinner, the balloon fest and parks. Our 6 year old loved discovering all of the toys to play with and loved exploring the beautiful home~ We will be back! Best home we;ve stayed in!
We loved this house and we were able to walk most places in town! The host was extremely accommodating and responsive. We had a hot water pipe burst in our home so this was a bit impromptu but the host made our reservation and check in process easy.
This was one of our favorite houses ever! Wonderful hot tub, huge washer & dryer, high end gas stove. The grill was great & the location was perfect for walking to town & hot springs. Rooms were extra large with lots of space for visiting. Our grand daughter loved the window nooks for reading. Thanks
A great time!
This house is spotless, fully equipped and lots of space to relax.
The owner was extremely responsive!
The location couldn't be better to explore the town.
This is our third spring break staying at the cottage on Lewis Street. After 10 years of vacationing at various rentals in Pagosa Springs it is by far our most favorite place to call home. The house is filled with everything you could ever need, the beds are super comfortable and the hot tub is the perfect way to end a day spent on the slopes. Location is a huge plus - we love walking downtown to grab dinner or browse all the local shops. Canât wait till next time.
Our property manager, Stephanie Calhoun and her husband of 15 years are proud to say they are now Colorado residents.
"Both of us were born and raised in California and traded in the beaches for the mountains of Colorado which were calling us. The decision to move to Pagosa Springs was the best thing we could have done for once we were settled in were presented with the opportunity to manage a historic house right in the middle of the amazing hot springs and wonderful town. As the property manager, I aim to give each and every guest the experience they deserve."
The owners Martha and Matt fell in love with the property for what it is and not what it looks like. The house is just chock full of fun history. The first structure, whatever it was, was constructed in 1849, 34 years before the town of Pagosa Springs was incorporated. The property was used as a barracks before the Ft Lewis military outpost was moved to Durango to protect the silver mines in 1882, the home of a retired Texas Ranger James L. O'Neal from 1896-1915, and in most recent times Herman Willett 1951-1997 and his son and long time resident of Pagosa Springs, Billy Willett who is source of the afore mentioned history. Remodels have produced a 1878 Springfield rifle in the wall of the chicken coup and a tobacco pouch that contained small gold nuggets still embedded in rock from the wall of the coal bin. We also loved the hands-on hospitality that Chris and Anna Dennis had provided, prior to our ownership, and felt it was just exactly the kind of place we wanted to be involved in. Anna no longer manages the property as of 2016 and we thank her for her wonderful efforts. We have been fortunate to find Stephanie Calhoun and her husband to pick up where Anna left off.
This home could not be more conveniently located for those who want to be in the heart of it all, soaking in the downtown Pagosa experience during the day. From great restaurants, to lively bars, to snow skiing, to fishing, to cool weather and gorgeous vistas, a two block walk for dip in the hot springs or river, to a great game of Bingo right across the street during the summer months. Pagosa and Historic 408 Lewis Street have much to offer. Really a great place to visit!
