Thank you for leaving your review Robert. I'm happy you were pleased with several aspects of your stay, and sorry you were not pleased with all aspects. In regard to the rate you paid, the roughly $900/nt included all of the taxes for both the town of Aspen as well as the State of Colorado, and the VRBO booking fee. What is left to flow through to the owner is about $700/nt. In regard to the resort fees, while I have no control as an owner over the amount charged, we own at several properties, and the resort fees charged at this property are very much in line with the industry standard for luxury residences. The amounts were quite a bit lower prior to the pandemic, but unfortunately have gone up everywhere since. That being said, I am very sorry you experienced issues with the hot tub and fire pit and I will facilitate your receiving a refund for the $40/nt resort fee you paid during your stay. The resort is closing for 2 months as of tomorrow, to complete renovations on the units, so as of the June reopening, all units will have new furnishings, fixtures, and decor. About half of the studio units in the building do not have a patio or balcony, so if that is important to you, and you would consider returning in the future, I would encourage you to reach out to me prior to booking, to inquire as to whether the unit that is available has one or not.
