Choco Lodge was a sweet rustic hideaway. It is extremely quiet and has great light in the morning. The house is well stocked with basic supplies and the host was easy to reach. I had some issues getting in with wrong code, but she was there pretty quick to rectify the situation. Outside of the house does need little TLC, and you not have access to a washer and dryer, but that was an assumption on my part.Overall, I'd gladly go back to this quiet reteat.

We had a great time during our visit in Maine. The house was perfect, very quiet and peaceful. Being on the lake was such a nice touch. Will definitely be coming back!

Family visit

Great location for us. Loved the peace, quiet and privacy. Beds were comfortable. Owner Kat super quick responses with any questions. Cute place we would rent again.

Gorgeous house surrounded by nature. This is one of the best stocked houses I have ever stayed at - from having all the kitchen amenities (included containers for leftovers) to little hotel-type touches (make-up remover packets, tea and coffee station, etc.) this host went above and beyond. Communication was fast and helpful - she even helped us out with a laundry issue. The window seat was a wonderful spot to relax. I cannot say enough nice things about this property and the host. I would definitely stay again!(Please note - I put the accuracy of description as a 4, because many of the wonderful amenities were not clearly listed - coffee maker, grill, etc., not for any discrepancies. I recommend updating the listing slightly to highlight all the offerings)

Quiet with Nature

Nice property close to Anniston/ Talladega. Was perfect for shooting competition to have a quiet comfort place to relax between matches. Owner was easy to contact if need and quick responses. Will Book again if we are in the area again

Perfect peaceful getaway!

This place was everything I hoped for and some. Convenient and close to my friend and his family who my daughter and I visited before his deployment overseas. Very private and secluded atop a hill. The view from the dining room into the back is amazing as well as a morning cup of coffee on either of the two balcony porches listening to the sounds of nature. 100% reccomend this wonderful cozy place to anyone looking for a vacation rental in this area!

Beautiful, Clean and homey

Loved everything about our stay. Although we didn’t spend much time there because we were at the racetrack, the time we were there was very peaceful and comfortable. The house was clean and everything we needed was available to us. Beds were very comfortable, my kids loved it! When arriving, it was already dark out so the trail up to the house was a bit scary because I wasn’t sure I was going the right way lol, but the following morning, waking up and surrounded by nature was just breathtaking. The views were amazing! Would definitely stay here again if we ever make a trip back up.
