Plantation Village Unit #9 has recently been listed on Expedia and VRBO so don't be dismayed by our lack of reviews, but we're hopeful you will change that! Our condo is a first floor unit just steps from the beach. You can enjoy free use of:

Two fresh water swimming pools on the property

There are concierge services with a security guard patrolling in the evenings. Cool off in one of the two beautiful fresh water pools and be sure to notice the beautiful landscaping all around the resort. You can snorkel right off the beach that is just steps away! Two grills are just outside the front door in the landscaped courtyard for your home cooked grilled meals.

The location is convenient to many great restaurants and shopping areas. If you choose to eat in, you can dine inside or outside in the screened in patio. At sunset, relax in a lounge chair on the beach with a glass of wine, cheese and crackers, and watch the show - it's different every night!

There are beach toys to enjoy and a playscape for the kids! Need a crib or highchair? No problem they have free use of cribs and high chairs during your stay pending availability.

The office staff will help you with reservations and suggestions on places to go and things to do. Check out the brochures in the office and learn about the many fun and exciting adventures that await you.

Just want to relax and chill? The office/bedroom has an entire bookcase of books for you to enjoy. Cable TV has many available channels and there are lots of DVDs if you'd rather not stream from the large flat screen TV. Wifi is free and reliable.

A common concern from tourists is the size of the beach. Because Plantation Village is at the southern end of 7 Mile Beach, our beach reacts to changing tides so the size of the beach can be unpredictable, but the beautiful ocean is always right there for you to enjoy no matter whether the beach is large or small!

Snorkel just a few steps out the door and enjoy the underwater world around the coral reefs and rocks. And there are always lots of beach lounge chairs around the two beautiful freshwater swimming pools. Divers can rinse diving equipment at the rinse station by the resort office.

It's best to rent a car if you want to explore the island, but you can always catch a "bus (which is really a van)" to go anywhere, and quite often some of the island excursions will pick you up at the resort. But this location is fantastic for walking to many restaurants and shopping areas. You can bring your own snorkel or dive equipment or rent from the many dive rental shops on the island.

Enjoy playing tennis on our lighted court, but sorry, the resort does not supply tennis racquets or tennis balls. The kids will enjoy playing on the playscape next to the tennis court.

This was the perfect place for our vacation. It is just steps away from the beach and close/walking distance to everywhere we wanted to visit. Even downtown Georgetown and dining in between. The house is very comfortable...beds are great...and the patio was lovely for morning coffee and afternoon drinks and snacks. I would definitely book it again.

We really enjoyed our week! We were blessed with perfect weather. The water can be up to the wall but we were able to enjoy the beach. We spent many hours snorkeling off the shore and enjoying the fish and reefs there. The condo was conveniently located to the beach and pool. Being able to go out of the patio to the beach was perfect with the kids. The den with the pull out couch was a perfect room for them. The kids really enjoyed playing pickleball and tennis in the evenings. We enjoyed walking to the local restaurants instead of driving and worrying about parking.

Large pool in the middle of the compound was perfect for daily swimming and the beach was great for snorkelling! Host and front desk staff were very responsive! The condo was within walking distance of many restaurants and Canama Bay.

The condo is beautiful and, being on the ground floor, very handy for the two pools and the beach. There is a large supermarket about half a mile away but other shops, bars and restaurants within a very short walking distance. We hired a car for our 5 day visit, so we saw quite lot of the island. (For advice to renters, we used GoCayman Car Rental/SaveMore RentaCar, who picked us up at the airport and were not only much cheaper than the big companies at the airport, but really friendly and helpful.) We visited Starfish Point and Rum Point (highly recommended) then Hell and the turtle sanctuary. Every day we spent some time by one of the pools, walked up the beach or snorkeled. We dined out just yards away every night (except once at Karoo at Camana Bay) and each place has been great (Coconut Joe's just across the street was our favorite). We would all love to come back some day.

Upon check in at 4:45 security guard had no record of our reservation. After multiple phone calls, security allowed us to drop our bags in the room but would not give us key. We told him we would be going out to dinner but he said just give him a call with the security number on the door and he would let us in. That phone number was disconnected. I will run out of room here if I don't quickly say that the place was very dated, rusty and did not provide even salt and pepper for their guests. No beach towels, no Saran Wrap to wrap up food, no anything! A family would need to bring everything you can think of to cook in the kitchen. They didn't even have a spaghetti strainer. The side door to the beach was rusted half way u the door and looked awful compared to the other units. Overall very disappointing!

Oh my gosh I don't know exactly what happened with your check-in but I absolutely did send in your information to management last August. I am furious about your experience and I am definitely going to make heads roll. Beach towels are supposed to be given to you when you check in. There was salt and pepper and seran wrap in the unit when we were there inventorying things in November, but perhaps subsequent guests used it up. The strainer is there but it is collapsible as a space saver, so perhaps you didn't recognize it. I'm so sorry all of this happened and we do appreciate you letting us know so we can take steps to get things corrected. We have owned this condo since 2007 and had it remodeled about 5 years ago, but it is one of the older complexes and weather is very hard on beach properties. This is the first review we have ever had like this and I deeply apologize.

We have owned Plantation Village Unit 9 since 2007 but recently began listing it on VRBO. During that time we have remodeled the condo and purchased many items to make your vacation comfortable and welcoming . We are always open to answer any questions you may have about the island and our condo.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

There are many outstanding features about Plantation Village, but one of our favorite is the perfect location. Several restaurants and shopping experiences are within walking distances. The property is well maintained with the use of the tennis/pickleball courts, grills, bikes, paddle boards and kayaks at no charge, unlike most resorts in Cayman. You can enjoy the tennis court and children's playscape and the two beautiful pools if you choose to enjoy your vacation right on the premises (bring your own tennis racquets though). The two barbeque grills are just steps out the front door!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

A first floor unit makes carrying luggage to the unit delightful since there are no elevators at the resort. This is especially helpful for those of with orthopedic issues! Just walk out the back door of the screened in porch, turn left and in just a few steps you are at the beach!
