Walk to waterfront dining, shops, wine bar. 2 miles from I-95. No pet fee!
Located in the heart of Darien, walkable to everything that makes Darien so special. Walk 3 blocks to the waterfront for stunning sunsets and all the shrimp boats in this small shrimping community. Enjoy the freshest seafood with waterfront dining at Skippers fish camp. At the top of the hill enjoy drinks at the historic Tabby house brewery. Grab snacks at The waterfront wine and gourmet. Make sure to check out The Local Exchange where they only sell things made in Georgia. Grab coffee and breakfasts or lunch at The Shanty. This is a one bedroom one bath located in the other half of the house, is totally separate with its own entrance. Very pet friendly but not suitable for small children. Up to 3 well behaved pets.
What an amazingly cute little place to stay. Perfectly situated for easy access to all areas around town and other tourist attractions nearby. The property owner even messaged us when we arrived to let us know of local events we might find of interest.
Great stop off 95! We were heading to NC from FL and decided to break up our drive halfway and the logical spot was Darien. Cute town. Enjoyed our 1 night at Susanâs place. Exactly as depicted. Our dog really liked the stay as well! Went to the wine bar and Skipperâs for dinner as recommended and they were very good. We will make the stop again since we have family in NC!
The owner has thought of everything and I mean everything in this 1 bedroom getaway. We left with a new friend. Susan even gave us a tour of Darien on her Club car. We were walking distance to downtown Darien and the new Tabby House brewery is a must stop. I highly recommend staying with Susan if anywhere near Darien..
Everything was super clean and extremely well decorated. This was our final stop for our third leg of our trip to Florida to Boston and will definitely stop on the way back. Plenty of space for our boat. Great location - near 95. There are a handful of great waterfront restaurants that you can walk to as well.
A Clean and Charming Place with Everything You Could Need
The property is lovely. The house is beautifully kept and decorated. Everything is clean and orderly. If you could want or need it, the host has it ready for you. This is by far our favorite place we have stayed. The host is wonderful and the location is safe, quiet and quaint. It is easy driving distance to Jekyll Islamd, St Simon's Island, Brunswick and many other popular areas in the Golden Isles in GA. This is a must stay if you visit the Golden Isles!
We had a great visit to Darien. So enjoyed the quiet town. Visited Sapelo. Our host was great. She showed us around town and suggested places to visit and restaurants to try.Everything was super
Lovely guest house that had everything we needed, comfortable bed, nice shower with luxurious towels, coffee, chairs on the covered porch to enjoy the sunshine. It is easy access from I 95. I recommend the fish market for fresh seafood and Skippys Rest.seafood restaurant was
We just needed a place in Darien for a 2 night stayâŠdidnât have many plans, but wanted a place with easy access for things to do in town. Susanâs place was within walking distance to restaurants & stores, and we were close to a plantation that we could drive to. The home was very clean and comfortable and Susan was always available when we had questions. We would love to stay at her place again if weâre in the area.!
Beautiful quiet safe getaway thats close to so many treasures!
Susan, property owner, went above and beyond providing true southern hospitality. We arrived quite late due to inclement weather and Susan messaged to make sure we were okay. She left the porch light on and several lights on inside the beautiful coastal cottage We had all the amenities and any questions Susan answered promptly. This cottage is located in the perfect location for walking to all the local restaurants, winery, antique shops, and so much more. I highly recommend and book fast because this is a very desirable location! Susan went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our stay.
I hesitate to tell you how neat this place is bc I want to stay here every time we pass through Darian. This little apartmenette is small but lives big !The place exudes charm way beyond a hotel room! It is the front end of a house that connects to the owners who live in the back . It has private entrance and the privacy is amazing plus the host Susan is very welcoming.. and we never heard a sound while we were there..It has everything one could need from chilled wine glasses in the freezer to snacks and water breakfast bars a Kerig coffee maker stocked w coffee. Lush towels in the bathroom and a mattress that we loved so much we want to buy one ! There are two tvs and brochures about the area . The neighborhood is residential and quiet. Itâs a mere bock and a half walk to Skippers , a favorite seafood place we love . Thank you Susan for a wonderful stay ! We will def be back!!
The property is as described. Check-in and communication was excellent throughout the entire process. I stayed for 2 nights with 3 dogs and the hospitality for all guests, 1 adult and 3 canines, was fantastic. Anyone should have full confidence when considering this property.
Our visit to Darien for the "Blessing of The Fleet" festival was made complete by staying in Susan's cozy bungalow. Just a few blocks from the gate and nestled amongst the live oaks, it was an ideal location for our stay.It was our first trip with our fur babies, who were as relaxed and made to feel at home as we were. From the "zen life" music on our arrival to the coffee and snacks, Susan provides everthing you need for a terrific stay.Thank you!
