everything was great nice cabin hot tub.pet friendly.only 1 issue was evening time neighbors was shooting like ww2.would recommend to anybody wanting a great vacation
The property was great. Just what we were looking for. We had an excellent stay. The driveway was step though, something to keep in mind if the weather could be bad.
The house was clean and everything just as pictured on the website. Far enough from the road to let my dog run free. It was a perfect place for a vacation.
We had an amazing stay. The property is beautiful and very clean. The host was very attentive and easy to communicate with. A great place to stay to get away from all the noise.
The house was clean and comfy, it gave us enough space for the adults and kids to enjoy! The kitchen is well stocked and there were plenty of towels to use. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were decorated nicely! The basement was a great place for the kids to hang out but there needs to be more lighting down there especially over the table. It was very dark and hard for the kids to play any board games. The grill is in desperate need of cleaning! The grease trap NEEDS to be emptied and cleaned. Under the burners caught fire and ruined our meal! We enjoyed sitting on the porch and around the Bon fire without any mosquitoes bothering us!!Overall we had a great stay at the Honeybee Hideaway!
We had an extended family vacation gathering at Honeybee Hideaway and really enjoyed our stay there. The property is rural. The gravel driveway was a bit rutted from recent heavy rains. No one had difficulty driving in or out of the driveway, but we did have to be slow and careful. 4WD would be best in rainy or snowy weather. It is quiet and peaceful there. Only a few minutes away was a lovely hike at a nature preserve that we really enjoyed. The fire pit set up has plenty of comfortable seating for a large group. There is also a lot of seating on the front porch, including a swing. The back patio has a table with 4 cushioned chairs near the hot tub. We had 10 people in our party and the place did not disappoint with plenty of seating and beds for all, plenty of dishes, cups, and silverware, and plenty of towels and washcloths. There is ample seating in the living room and in the downstairs den. The upstairs is open concept living, kitchen, and dining with lots of space for people to gather. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of cookware and accessories. The pool table, foosball table, and arcade game were all a big hit. Our one disappointment was that the game room pictures show pop-a-shot basketball, but that was not in the house during our visit. There are several smart TVs in the house and all worked well. The house was clean when we arrived. A starter of basic essentials was provided in the bathrooms and kitchen, except for dishwasher pods.
The house was clean, did have issues shutting doors, outside could have used some cleanup around the landscaping. Didn't catch any fish, think it is do to a catfish. The living room light and fan need better access, shorter people can't reach the chains to turn on and off. Other than that, our stay was very peaceful and relaxing.
We loved our stay at honeybee! Host was quick at responses, relaxing secluded area, we loved how big the fire pit was and the couch was so comfy! Pictures donât do justice for the pool table! I will say we had try and fish for about four hours and Iâm not sure the pond is stocked! Either way it was nice to sit down there and relax
We enjoyed our stay at Honeybee Hideaway. The location was great. A short trip to Logan for what you needed, but it also offered quiet and peacefulness of nature. The porch was lovely where you can hear the birds singing, the leaves rustling with the breeze, and the frogs down in the pond below. Boch Hollow Nature Preserve is less than 3 miles (7 minutes) away from the location, which was beautiful. The hot tub was welcomed after a lot of hiking at the state parks. We did use the grill on the porch, as well as the fire pit. In addition, we had light use of the pool table and Pac-Man. Washer/dryer used once and worked well. It felt like outlets that would be convenient for charging stations were limited. An extension cord and power strip are recommended. The ceiling light/fan in living room is pull string and higher to reach. Unless you are tall, you may need to stand on something to reach them. For awareness - the driveway is gravel and could be a bit rough. Just take it slow.We would stay again at this location.
Overall great experience. The host was very responsive and the place was exceedingly cleanly. The game area and the hot tub were a great. The hot tub was hot, refreshing and clean. One amazing thing was they had tons of towels so we never ran out.The fire pit was amazing. They didn't supply wood but it was cheap near by. There were games in the closets. Lots of cooking utensils, pots pans etc and some fire stuff for roasting marshmallows. The table sat 10 of us comfortably (adults and kids mix). The beds and bedding were comfortable and sturdy. We parked our van in the garage and that was helpful too! We went fishing in the pond but no bites. A great dock down by the water with good chairs. Some of the cons: the water pressure is very low and the water had a smell. If you were showering you could not even use any other sink in the house. It was fine once we adjusted. This cabin is also about 35-40 min from the popular hikes such as old man's cave or rock house. As is common in the area, the directions to hikes were difficult to load when we were not around the cabin wifi. A mixed pro and con: the cat, that my kids named S'mores, is ALWAYS AROUND. We loved playing with the cat and the kids enjoyed her presence but we brought a dog with us and the cat was unexpected and ever present. It was a cute cat but kept trying to get in the car and house and garage. Not sure where the cat belongs or if it lives on the property but it was a pro and a con!
A disappointment but not a complete bust. mattresses were comfortable, bedding was clean, grill worked great, surrounding location was beautiful many things needed attention- the whole house shifted causing several doors to not close, small children got stuck in one room, supply more TP, kitchen sink obviously leaking long time cabinet is rotting. Kitchen is VERY sparse if you are cooking several door knobs were very loose including main door, we fix ourselves also a lot of trash on the grounds
We really enjoyed the fireplaces, hot tub, setting, and large table. It is a beautiful house and would work really well with extended families.
