For context, this review was only placed after the guest demanded for the highest review for her ill behavior and refused a full refund for myriad of complaints, many of which were simply false. The guest did not inform us of any issues with our property until after she checked out. We have professional cleaners who clean the house and we have never had a negative review on the cleanliness of the house. We have never had a pest problem - mice or otherwise. We have had many guests stay with us both through VRBO and other STR website with no issues. There was no problem with the kitchen sink drain until after she left when the cleaners alerted us to it. There was a mix up with the dates of occupancy with another of our other property was why she was initially told she she could not get an early check in. Once we realized the mistake, she was given a free early check for 1pm. It was a shock to us to hear there were threats by the neighbor on the right. We consider issues of safety and security of great importance. We do stay on our properties with our kids from time to time. We have met and had great interactions with our neighbors. We never had any of our guest report any threatening behaviors in the past which I think any reasonable guest will do, both to the police and to the host in real time. We were only informed of this threat after the guest had checked out and was demanding a full refund and the highest review on Vrbo. This is blackmail and we will not stand for it.
