Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. Walking distance to college and downtown. Front porch is nice for reading, morning tea, or summer dinners outside, equipped with a barbeque grill. Just a few blocks to downtown! Only 15 minutes to Carey Lake, Irene Rinehart Riverfront Park and Yakima River makes for great daily exercise in nature! Very spacious! You may hear occasional train sounds, which blend into the vibrant neighborhood ambiance. Earplugs are provided for light sleepers.
The home is very nice and overall, pretty clean. Downside is on the 90 day, there is only 1 AC unit so although it cools down at night, during the day, it is very warm and stuffy. There are ear plugs for the train whistle which blows during the night so it the windows are open, definitely use the ear plugs they provide. Host was very quick to respond when we had questions. It would be nice to have a little more in the way of cooking oil, some seasoning and baking pans for use but otherwise, we had a nice stay.
With our son going to school up in Ellensburg and our seemingly frequent travels to visit him from the PDX metro area, we finally elected to seek out a home that we could rent (hopefully many times) to avoid the hotel eating out game. This home is perfect for just that. Dog friendly, alley curb access and parking, big enough for our group, and sufficient for hosting a few college kids and making them a home-cooked meal. The owners were excellent communicators, have poured a ton of effort into the refresh of this house, and we suspect that trend will continue. With rates that are comparable to a hotel stay, this was a no-brainer. We hope to come back!
My husband is from Kentucky and I'm from Massachusetts. We love to travel and explore new areas. We love hosting to give others a chance to explore all the things we love about Ellensburg!
Our property is spacious with an open floor plan on the main floor. We are very close to downtown Ellensburg, the rodeo and Gorge for your favorite concerts!
