Cute and cozy home in a great location!
Loved this neighborhood. Very close to great restaurants and beach. Very short drive or trolley ride to the heart of the Laguna Beach downtown.
Love this adorable, tropical gem...very charming and clean with lots of outdoor
seating. We used the BBQ outside and was perfect while we mingled w/ family
outside...very close to the beach~the one we walked to was a 5 min. walk to a
nice private sandy cove! Would definitely stay here again!!!

Lovely cottage a few blocks from the ocean
We enjoyed our stay at this sweet cottage in Laguna Beach. We had everything we needed for a beach holiday: walking distance to a beach, beach towels, chairs and toys.
We loved the garden and ate some of our meals outdoors. What could be better?
Robert, our host, was a pleasure to deal with and always quick to respond to any questions.
A place to care for because of all the care that's there.
The place has so much character; just very well selected appointments ... comfort and character everywhere you look. The kind of place that makes you want to stay "home" even though you are in Laguna Beach! We enjoyed adding to the goodies you show up to ... take, eat, drink ... and pay a little forward. Love it.
Excellent location. Robert was great at handling the couple of requests we had. Walk to beaches, restaurants, free trolley to downtown Laguna Beach. Cannot park on premises but never had a problem parking. This was fond of Lay to June 1. Parking may be different in summer months. Would recommend.
My wife and I rented this home for Mother's Day weekend and it was a perfect spot. The house itself is beautiful, with ocean views, unique furniture pieces, and a great yard/patio.
The beds were super comfortable. Especially the one in the master. And the two rooms downstairs were able to accommodate more family members comfortably.
The owner is a genuinely kind and helpful host. Provided great help getting us situated. We can't wait to go back!
We rented the cottage for our annual girls get-together and it was perfect! It is the quintessential beach house! The home is so cozy, but we really enjoyed the outside patio. It was a perfect place for morning coffee to plan our daily activities and then a quick glass of wine in the evening before we headed out again. The (free!) trolley stops right around the corner and was a terrific way to get downtown for shopping & restaurants. The owner was incredibly easy to work with and so pleasant. I definitely recommend this rental. The location is great ... you will absolutely fall in love!
We loved this charming vintage beach cottage and will be back again and again.
Last week we had the pleasure of renting this lovely beach cottage. In fact, we loved it so much and had such a good time that we have already decided to rent it again next summer! The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and everything we needed was in close proximity--beaches, stores, restaurants, and even public transportation and the Post Office! Though the owners have retained the original charm of the vintage cottage's pine floors, paneling, fireplace, etc., the kitchen has been tastefully remodeled and is well-stocked. The bathrooms are also updated and very nice. Entertaining was a breeze and so much fun with the terraced outdoor brick patio, BBQ, palm, ficus, and bird-of-paradise trees, and even a nice lawn area. This became the favorite meeting place for our So Cal friends during our stay. The downstairs bed and bath areas made it ideal for 2 families when we had guests. I loved throwing open the 2nd story double glass doors and walking out onto the balcony to smell the fresh air and gaze at the ocean view...or laying on the beautiful upholstered outdoor couches and reading under the ficus tree. The fireplace is not only functional but it is the only warmth needed on a chilly morning and so very charming. The kids enjoyed the short walk to the beautiful neighborhood beaches and I've got to say that the beaches in this neighborhood are especially beautiful and rival any of the So Cal beaches. We had our cameras out everywhere we went! Nightly young adults spent a lot of time at the restaurants in a short walking distance (The Coyote Grill was especially popular with our young crew!). The owners Robert and Danielle are a warm and inviting couple who are easy to work with and were thoughtful to every detail of our comfort. We recommend this rental with the highest ratings.
Checking in and out was a breeze and the host was real quick to respond to any messages/text sent. The area is cute and taking the Trolley was a great option to explore.
Our stay was during a heatwave which was unfortunate since there is no AC. Our host was kind enough to provide fans, although it was still pretty hot if one was not directly in front of a fan. There are no screens in the windows so we got pretty eaten up by mosquitoes.
The beds were comfortable. I wish the seating area and pillows were more comfortable but overall we enjoyed our stay.
Very charming, comfortable and welcoming beach cottage. Excellent location. Everything we needed was at our fingertips; beach chairs, umbrellas, towels & coolers. We would choose to stay here again in a heartbeat!
Beautiful place. Loved the decor and location. Very clean and comfortable.
This was a really cute cottage with all the amenities youâd need. Walking distance to one of the most beautiful beach Iâve ever seen. (Table Rock). We would stay there again. Everything was clean and decorated beautifully. We all had comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. We loved sitting out on the porch and decor.
We loved this home! Beds are comfortable, the gardens surrounding the home are beautiful, Robert was attentive, and the neighborhood is âchillâ as my kids would say. The kitchen is fully equipped with a nice clean new fridge. The outside sitting area is lovely to enjoy coffee in the morning. The home is equipped with beach towels and chairs. We had a fantastic time and look forward to another visit!
Very nicely kept main house. We did not use the downstairs bedroom due its separation from the main. Our first night of sleep was disrupted by the sounds of a late-playing garage band on the bedrooms' side of the property. The rest of the weekend lived up to the advertised "quiet neighborhood" billing. Overall, a nice property in an area south of Laguna!
We were in the cottage for 5 nights and really enjoyed our experience. The cottage is south of town but there are beaches walking distance as long as you can handle steps as well as some good restaurant- Thai, Mexican, Carbean, Italian & a donut shop good for coffee or Pho as well as a 711. Down stairs is a little dark but our kids (21) were comfortable sleeping there. The master bedroom is a lovely, comfortable, sunny space and the other upstairs bedroom is also very nice as are the shared soace. We were traveling with my 82 year old mother who struggled with the terrain around the cottage and getting in and out of the tub/shower in her room. All things considered, we really enjoyed our stay, found the owner very easy and responsive, and would return in the future.
Last month we enjoyed our RETURN to this delightful beach cottage in Laguna Beach. It was as warm and wonderful as I remember, decorated for Christmas, and reminiscent of the vintage 1920's but with all modern conveniences. The landlords were very accommodating and the close proximity to beach, shops and restaurants made it the perfect stay. This gem is permanently on our "TO DO AGAIN LIST!"
First impressions are often the best and this rings true with Robert's beach cottage. It's nestled in a quiet street with beautiful foliage all around. The cottage has a true California beach vibe and was exactly what my family and I were looking for. The location is walkable to some of Laguna's best beaches. This made it possible for us to spend everyday enjoy the beaches of Table Rock, West Street and 10,000 steps and never get into a car. We found the cottage to have all the amenities that we needed for our week long stay. The door stairs bedrooms with private bath were great for our teenage girls. Robert is a good communicator and helped us with a TV issue. Our 10 y/o was grateful for that and so were we! After falling in love with South Laguna and this adorable cottage, we can't wait to come back!
Cozy, relaxing, home away from home. The two beaches within walking distance from the house are beautiful and not crowded like others in Laguna Beach. Quick access to the free trolley and nice restaurants are a bonus.
And there really is a view of the ocean :-) Having lived in California for several years, many years ago, "ocean view" could mean standing on a ladder on your roof to see the ocean :-)
Thank you to the Hagopians for providing such a really cool place to stay while we enjoyed the beauty of Laguna Beach. It is exactly as described. Loved the quiet neighborhood and found it really easy to get around and into town - walking, trolley - I did not want to leave. Robert was quick to respond to questions and left a ton of information in the house for us regarding restaurants, beaches, etc. and all of his recommendations were "spot on". Table Rock beach - gorgeous! On our last day there, I did the 140 steps (I think it was 140) with ease :-) Thanks, again, so very, very much!
The pictures didn't all match the listing, especially the outside, and maintenance was needed upon arrival. The grill didn't work and looked to have not been cleaned in a couple years, there are no screens on any of the windows, which poses a big problem in evenings since they need to be opened with no A/C. Bugs and cats were coming in through the open windows. Workers came to clean outside area while we were there since it wasn't cleaned beforehand.
This house was perfect! It was roomy and relaxing. Very comfortable for an entire family and located in a perfect spot for walking to the beach and some great local restaurants. The outdoor seating was a perfect spot to relax after a day at the beach!
My sisters and I spent a nice long weekend here (4 nights). The house had plenty of comfortable seating inside as well as outside (we enjoyed having "happy hour" on the side porch). The beds were cozy, too. I was happy we all had our own separate bedrooms and bathrooms. We didn't use the kitchen much, as there were so many restaurants we wanted to try. There were many things within walking distance (we really enjoyed eating at Eva's Caribbean right down the street) and it was nice to have a gas station on the corner too for little purchases. We explored tide pools at many different beaches--theoretically we could have done without a car, but were glad we rented one. We also checked out the nearby marine mammal rehab facility. Unfortunately the state park hiking trails were closed while we were there, due to recent bad weather. Luckily we had very nice weather during our stay. I could've used another day in the area! It was a lovely vacation. Robert was responsive and very easy to work with.
