Bienvenue au Black Bear Lodge, une grande maison familiale sur le magnifique lac Mascoma! Notre maison comprend le meilleur de l'été et de l'hiver car nous sommes situés sur l'eau et à quelques minutes de Whaleback Mountain, du mont Sunapee et à une heure de la station de ski de Killington. Venez faire des souvenirs inoubliables dans cette belle maison; Nous serions ravis de vous avoir!

Pour tous les locataires estivaux, cette maison est située directement sur le lac Mascoma et nous fournissons des kayaks et des pédalos pour que les clients puissent en profiter tout l'été!

Nous avons deux espaces de vie dont vous pouvez profiter, un au premier étage avec un téléviseur de 60 "et un autre au sous-sol avec un téléviseur de 70". Avec Internet et le câble dans les deux chambres, vous pouvez toujours rester connecté. Une table de ping-pong est également à votre disposition!

The BEST!

We just wrapped up our second year staying at this incredible home, and we couldn’t be happier! With 14 family members, finding a place that fits us all comfortably is a challenge, but this home nails it. The house is thoughtfully designed, making it feel spacious yet cozy. The lake views are absolutely stunning—our mornings started with coffee on the deck, watching the kids play in the water, and our evenings ended with the most picturesque sunsets. It truly is a slice of paradise. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need and then some. From the fully stocked kitchen to the ample entertainment options, we never found ourselves lacking anything. It’s clear that a lot of care has been put into making guests feel at home. A special shoutout to Andy, the owner, who is just incredible. Communication with him is a breeze, and he genuinely goes above and beyond to ensure we have everything we need for a perfect stay. His attention to detail and dedication to his guests’ comfort are unmatched. This place has become a cherished spot for our family to make memories. We adore every moment spent here and can’t wait to come back again next year. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a home away from home with a stunning lake backdrop and a host who truly cares, this is it!

Black bear lodge was perfect for our family

I can’t say enough good things about this house. It was well stocked, had lots of towels and kitchen amenities. The house was quiet even though it’s near a campground and the road. The view from the second floor was beautiful and we loved the outside deck. We loved the large wooden table near the kitchen. We hope to stay there again!!

Family Weekend

Graduation weeked

Needed a large house for family and friends for graduation weekend. As it turned out it was just my wife and myself, most of the time. Great location on the lake and nice open layout of house for entertaining or larger groups (5 bedrooms). But also nice place just for a couple that likes room.

Beautiful lake views

Had a great visit with my family of 8 adults. Location is close to Woodstock and Quechee Vermont and Hanover New Hamphire. Lots of pretty fall foliage.

Perfect house for getaway

We went for a family vacation and we’re lucky enough to stay in this home. It was perfect with everything needed for a home away from home. The lake swim up dock was a welcome and incredibly fun addition. This is a perfect home for fun with family and friends. There is more than enough sleeping accommodations. Grateful for the time spent there with the fam.

Wonderful house

Our family has been going to different homes for our annual glamping trips for years, this house is one of the best. Plenty of space, the kitchen is well stocked, the entire house was very clean. The lake is beautiful. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Fabulous vacation spot

Gorgeous home with spectacular views. Our family of 12 had plenty of space. The kitchen is well-stocked, the bedrooms are roomy, and the pingpong table was a bonus for extra fun! The living room window, floor to ceiling, is a stunning view. The kids loved the dock and diving board out on the floating dock. For those with kids, bring water shoes, as it's a bit rocky at the shoreline. The water is also shallow for quite a bit, which is great for little ones. The owner was very receptive and addressed a couple of minor concerns in a timely manner. The house is close to the road, but soundscapes solved the night traffic problem. The yard slopes from the house down to the water so don't bring bocce! Bring your own ping pong paddles to ensure quality play. We had a great week and will rent again once our new grandbaby can jump off that dock!

Fantastic stay. Can’t wait to return!

We were a family of 8 adults and 7 children (ages 2-16) with plenty of room to both gather and spend quiet time. Kids were swimming as early as 9am and enjoyed swimming to the raft with diving board. We explored the lake using the kayaks, had many ping pong games downstairs, and enjoyed the lake views from the back deck or conversation area. Beds were comfortable. Perfect for our family vacation! Can’t wait to return!

House has everything you will need!!

This home is awesome! The kitchen area has everything you will need and then some, every pot and pan, every cooking utensil, you cannot use everything here within your stay. 5 Bedrooms so plenty of room. We were here for the Ledyard Classic Hockey Tournament at Dartmouth U-- if you are every here for anything at Dartmouth-- this location is really nice as it is only 15 minutes away. The lake view is spectacular! Communication with the owner is A-ONE! Do Not hesitate to rent out this home- you definitely will be amazed! Five Stars on this one.. Mark Catalano

Great house on a lovely Lake!

This house was really great. Plenty of space for the seven of us, and right on a really nice and clean lake. Is just a quick walk to a great restaurant and only a few minutes drive to local stores. The owner was responsive and helpful. Would love to return!

Wonderful home!

Beautiful home with gorgeous views of the lake. Great space for kids to hang out in the lower level with ping pong and TV. Open kitchen/dining room/living room. Our group of 15 loved it - had enough space to be by ourselves, but also come together as a large group. We found a wonderful rails to trails hike about a mile away that we biked, hiked, ran on. Close to shopping/amenities, but could also just spend the whole day at the house enjoying views/water/kayaking and being together.

House is exactly as it looks! = Excellent.

Everything you read about this property is true. You're RIGHT on the water, with 2 decks to hang out on. A 4 minute walk to Baited Hook for some awesome food. Place is very clean, and well kept. We'd recommend this to anyone who asks. Hopefully will try to stay again next year.

A Great Time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, celebrating our daughter's high school graduation with friends and family. The lake provides great swimming and fishing and the views from the house are spectacular. The ping-pong table was also tons of fun.

Great Lodge on the Lake

We enjoyed staying, Black Bear Lodge and exploring the surrounding area. The lake is beautiful. The lodge was very clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the large basement area. The only issue was that the ping pong paddles were missing in action. It took a pit-stop to Walmart to fix that situation.

Beauty on the Lake

Black Bear Lodge is a beautiful home on Lake Mascoma. The views from the kitchen and living room on the main floor make you feel like you are truly right on the water. This couldn't be a more stellar view. The property manager, Andy, is superb to deal with and very responsive to every need or concern. I would definitely stay again.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

My family rented this property for a get together after a wedding. This place is amazing! The location is absolutely perfect. We all were able to enjoy the lake, kayaking and swimming and jumping off the floating dock. The house is set up great for large groups with plenty of living space (including separate finished basement space with ping pong table and awesome TV). Communication with the host was great, alway super responsive and helpful. Will absolutely be looking into staying here again another time!

Amazing Family Weekend at Andy's

Where do I start? I had the most INCREDIBLE weekend stay here with my family a few weekends ago! Absolutely returning again next year... where do I start?! 1. Host Andy was the best! He was hands down the most responsive host I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. He answered all of my questions and responded WITHIN MINUTES each time. My cousin accidentally left his fishing rod at the house and Andy actually went back to the house twice to look for it and then SHIPPED IT BACK TO HIM. I truly do not have enough praise for Andy. 2. THE HOUSE LAYOUT. Amazing. It was perfectly clean, yet modern, spacious, and comfortable without being pretentious-- exactly what I was looking for, but so so SO hard to come by. There was room for all of us, and such that we all had our own space/ bedrooms to retreat in. I loved that the common area between the kitchen and the living room is HUGE with open space, and also connected at the same time. It was perfect for my family who loves to cook and congregate around the kitchen for all meals. We could be together while prepping meals, and also hang out there before, during, and afterward. 3. THE BASEMENT: The hidden gem is without a doubt the basement that was perfect for my teenage cousins, who were able to have their own space. It features a ping pong table (total hit), a TV area with another big living room (and laser tag!!!), and 2 bedrooms with a private bathroom. It also opens directly to the backyard, so basement guests can come in and out as they please. 4. THE LAKE. This house comes with a private boat dock, which was incredible! My uncle was able to bring his boat and we fished and had fun in the water all weekend long. There are also amazing bay windows from the living room so that you're able to look out over the lake in the morning with a cup of coffee... one of my favorite memories from the weekend :) 5. AMENITIES. The house comes with a grill (we used it, it was great), a fire pit (also used), canoes, paddleboards, fishing poles, a totally stocked kitchen (pots, pans, dinnerware, utensils, even aluminum foil and etc!), plenty of towels, bedding, extra toilet paper... truly anything you might need for a comfortable stay Andy has thought of! 10/10 would recommend. Book now, you won't regret it!

My family purchased this home in the hopes of it being our permanent place to host our annual ski trips and summer trips. We hope you do the same and get to enjoy it as much as we would!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

It has become an annual tradition that my family host a ski trip and every year we are renting a place on Homeaway. We figure it was time to invest in a home where we had the best of both worlds where we can ski in the winter and swim in the summer.

Mascoma Lake was a great option for us because it has no motor boat restrictions and we wanted the freedom of bringing in motor boats if we ever desired.
