THE PROPERTY: Welcome to your private rocking chair front porch and tropical, Adult Only setting! As you enter your quaint cottage, you can sit back and relax in the comfortable living room with ample seating for you and your guests. The room is enhanced by a vaulted ceiling, coveted Dade County pine, and French doors that lead out to the lush gardens. A wet bar area is complete with a beverage refrigerator, a bar sink, microwave and a coffee maker. Beyond the family room is a convenient first-floor full bath with a walk-in shower. Just outside this bath is an open staircase that provides access to the upstairs open loft bedroom. This sleeping area has a window and is complete with a queen bed, chair, lamps, and dresser storage. Towards the rear of the home is the sunny first floor primary ensuite bedroom with king bed, storage closet and French doors. The ensuite bath has a beautiful walk-in shower, double sinks, and enclosed water closet. Please note this home has no washer/dryer at this time. Enjoy island life in Hibiscus Cottage- a convenient location with a shared pool!

BED CONFIGURATION: One king bed on the first floor and a queen bed in the upstairs open loft space.

OUTDOOR AMENITIES: A large shared pool is available for Hibiscus Cottage guests; it is located at the back of the complex and is surrounded by swaying palms and tropical landscaping. Loungers are in place for your use.

PARKING: No designated parking. Limited on-street parking may be available in the neighborhood.

LOCATION: Historic Old Town, walkable to Duval Street, shops, bars, and restaurants. Enjoy nearby entertainment on Mallory Square.

PETS: This home is NOT pet-friendly. (If you have pets, please browse through our many homes that are pet friendly).

SMOKING: This is a STRICT NON SMOKING HOME AND COMPLEX.

Overall our stay was great. The property is beautiful and the rooms were clean and well taken care of. My only issue was that the upstairs loft was pretty small with low ceilings. Great for kids, but for adults it felt pretty cramped.

Stayed at Hibiscus Cottage over a long weekend with friends. We found the property as described and very clean. The cottage was quiet despite just being a few steps from Duval. The property is conveniently located a very short walk to all that Key West has to offer. The walkway into the property is beautiful with lush greenery. We spent a nice afternoon at the pool. We would definitely stay here again. The loft offers no privacy and the guest bathroom is on the main floor. Our friends did not mind but something to be considered. Overall a wonderful stay at a lovely property !

Everything was great other than the fact the Keys had a 15 year low temp for most of our stay and there was no heat in our cottage, had to really bundle up for a few days.

The location of this cottage is absolutely perfect. It’s part of the Simonton Court community, where we stayed before. This listing however, is unique in that it does not include some of the Simonton Court facility access. One other item of note, this room used to have access to a private pool directly off the bedroom. You could even see the pool in the picture beyond the French doors out of the bedroom. This is now been walled off with a giant privacy fence so your view out the bedroom window is now, a fence

Cottage was very hard to find and there is no parking. We had to park in parking garage and walk several blocks back. Also there was no hot water in downstairs bathroom shower. Other than that, I was a cute cottage and very close to Duval Street.

Limited on-street parking may be available in the neighborhood." We understand that navigating this can be a challenge and we appreciate your patience in utilizing the nearby parking garage. We are also very sorry to hear about the lack of hot water in the downstairs bathroom shower. Please know that we have a maintenance team available seven days a week from 9 AM to 5 PM, as well as an after-hours emergency line, to address such issues immediately during a guest's stay. We have since followed up with our maintenance team to ensure the hot water is functioning correctly for future guests. We appreciate your honest feedback as it helps us improve. The staff was great. We dropped our bags off at their office since we arrived before check in. Our cottage was very cute too. We rented bikes and the staff help rent them for us. They were at the cottage when we arrived. We had a bit of an issues with one of the bedrooms but they were quick to respond and tried to resolve the problem.

Beautiful cottage and garden. The cottage had a moldy smell that messed with my throat and eyes. The management company had the maintenance team deliver two dehumidifiers and those ran continuously.

We originally booked the cottage for two couples but our companions couldn’t make it. Although the cottage has a loft bedroom, I think it would have been tight for four people. The outdoor dining table only had two chairs. The cottage worked well for my wife and I. It was a great location and very quiet even though it was on block off Duval Street.

Wonderful Stay

The property was in a perfect location and great for 2 couples. The public pool in the back was quite shaded but we had no issue finding sun elsewhere. The only thing in the kitchen is a mini fridge and a microwave so do not plan on cooking meals in the cottage. On the bright side, Key West is full of amazing restaurants you don’t want to miss out on.

Hibiscus Cottage

The property and location are great. We were able to drop our luggage off to an off-site office prior to check-in and after check-out. The only issue for my wife was the east facing French Door in the bedroom does not have darkening shades. This could be an issue for guests who want to sleep in past 7am.

Great Getaway

My traveling companions and I greatly enjoyed the cottage, the grounds and pool area and the overall experience. HKWVR were a great rental company to deal with - they were very responsive, helpful and communicative. When I questioned the air conditioner temperature setting requirement of no less than 73 degrees, they responded immediately and stated that I could turn the temperature down to a minmum of 68, which made the cottage much more comfortable. I may be best if they remove that bit from their directives to guests, since we obeyed the 73 degree mark the first night and the home was not as comfortable to sleep in. Otherwise, everything was top notch. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone and rate our experience with HKWVR as very excellent!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at the Hibiscus Cottage. It has obviously had a recent renovation but did not lose the look and feel of an old conch house. Comfortable furnishings and a surprisingly large master with an en-suite bath that would rival that of a five star hotel. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch swing and breakfast from Fausto’s on the private deck. The property itself is also so beautiful with lush tropical gardens surrounding your every move. To top it off, the location is unbeatable. One block off Duval and just a few blocks from Mallory Square and many of the great restaurants in Key West. We will not hesitate to rent this little gem again.

Great Trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect, just off Duval Street. The property was very quiet and well maintained. Key West Vacation Rental people were very helpful and always in touch to see if we need anything. The customer service was a perfect 10!!!
