Not a great spot. I should have read prior reviews more closely. It needs a deep cleaning as another reviewer said. There was one window that didn't open and the entryway smelled pretty bad. Dreary. There was a handwritten note on the door to leave the key in the lockbox that seemed over the top. Just generally not a great feeling place. Oh, and loud people coming into the building late at night, and the noise carried clearly into the apartment.
DO NOT BOOK!!!! Absolutely disgusting place. Not only was the loft flooded but the whole place stank of piss. The emergency exit for the whole building was in the loft itself. In fact, I wouldnât be surprised if this is an illegal apartment. The host was absolutely rude, unhelpful, not understanding, and non responsive once he realized we wanted a refund. Vrbo should be ashamed of having places like this and is refusing to refund our money. We have in fact reported the apartment to the city of Montreal. If you care about your safety, sanity and money, donât bother wasting your money and time on this place. The other bad reviews down play just how awful this place really is. Donât make my same mistake.
An absolute nightmare. The code didnât work to get a key, the host refused to call me to straighten it out, there were many steps to walk up which wasnât on the ad and my wife is handicapped and we werenât told that it was above a pub and also not to mention the street people laying on the sidewalk and begging for money. We were forced to try and find a hotel in a strange city with no help. I asked to be refunded due to the fact that we didnât stay and I have been ignored. Would never use this company again and would advise against anyone else using these guys! Extremely frustrating and non happy customer.
The place overall was really great for the price, needs a deep cleaning all around but for the most part it exceeds expectations merely from how large the studio is. Took a while for the window AC to cool the place down, but very cozy once it was properly cooled. Reason itâs a 3 star is because the owner didnât provide codes to get in when we got there, had to call Vrbo support to get the codes which took a while. Host basically had no communications so just be ready to call support which will help you out if need be.
Horrible communication. Hung up on me in the middle of me telling him what apartment I was there to get the code for. Tried calling them back, no answer. Finally get a message back 20 minutes later and I get told I can not stay in the apartment tonight. I had it booked over a week in advance. They told me somwone was already there. Trying to get my money back. Please save yourself a headache and find another place. I saw the poor review for communication and did the typical, well that wont happen to me. Well it did.
