Nice older home in the hills of Layton. Close to hiking and biking trails of the Bonnevile Lake rim trail. Perfect location to do sightseeing in the Salt Lake basin. Great for a family stay.
The property was exactly like the pictures. The place was clean and well furnished. Communication with the owner was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.
This was a family visit. The home was clean and neat. The owner is extremely communicative and wants her guests to be comfortable at all times. Our grandkids always enjoy staying there.
Another enjoyable visit, as usual. This is a comfy well, welcoming home and we always look forward to our visits. It is spotlessly clean when we check in and owner Holly is always very responsive if we have any needs or suggestions.
We had a wonderful time at this home! My family of six enjoyed all the space that we had during our stay. We also loved utilizing the fully stocked kitchen, bicycles, basketball hoop, and the movies and games. The owner was very sweet, and she did everything she could to make our stay comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!
This was a Christmas visit. We had snow and a large enough property to sled and make snowmen. The home is warm and comfy. Can't wait to come back again.
The property is homey, comfortable, and clean. The front and back yards are large and fun for children. The whole area is quiet. The owner is very good about responding to any questions. We'll look forward to returning in December.
Holly was an amazing host! The location was perfect. The kitchen was very well stocked. There were plenty of towels for my family to use. The backyard had plenty of space for our children to run around. The grill was nice to have. It was nice having 2 living areas when we had family over for dinner. If we visit Layton again in the future, we would love to stay here again!
Another wonderful stay with snow thrown in for good measure.
This was our fourth stay in 2018, each stay as wonderful as the previous one. The home has lots of room for kids and a big front and back yard. Our stay in December was especially fun because we had snow but not too much, just enough for the kids to ride sleds and shovel snow. The home is well-stocked with coffee, popcorn, kitchen implements, and kitchen necessities. We always enjoy the sweet treats that owner Holly leaves for arriving guests. Holly is very responsive to request and comments. We can't wait to come back for our spring visit.
Came for a 3-day training at Weber State University and this was perfect for our group of unrelated adults. It was close to campus, and yet, felt like being in the country. We would have loved to explore the outside more, it was just lovely. Holly was great to communicate with and the whole process went very smoothly. Due to the home having been added to over the years, there are some âelevationâ changes in the floor in a few spots. These werenât a big deal mostly, but they did take a day or so to get used to them. We all agreed it was a great choice of place to stay.
This home was very inviting: decorated warmly and stocked well. We found the location to be easy to find, and conveniently located. The home was in a good location for us. The owner made entrance easy, which was great for our late arrival. The only issue that we had was that the property did not have a/c, but a swamp cooler instead. The owner was anxious to please us and offered us a solution and then she followed through as promised. This is a lovely property that would have been enjoyed in a cooler time of the year. We just needed a/c in the 90 degree weather week we visited.
Stayed here the first week of January 2023 with my family for a week of skiing at Snowbasin. The host was wonderful about communicating with us and had the home ready with a fire in the wood burning stove when we arrived. The house is warm and comfortable, and the host left many nice touches (the chocolates were a treat!) that made our stay absolutely wonderful. They were generous enough to leave us a garage door remote so we could easily pack and unpack our skis each day and store them in the garage overnight. The house is about a 25 minute drive from Snowbasin and I would estimate about an hour from Park City and the Big/Little Cottonwood Canyon. The neighborhood is nice and the town of Layton has everything you need. We were just so happy with our stay and highly recommend this property.
Peaceful beautiful home with large yard for the dogs
This home was our 3rd VRBO home traveling with dogs from Seattle to New Mexico. It is a beautiful home that is in a very peaceful setting. Very clean, comfortable beds and a wonderful owner who is willing to go that extra mile to help you get your needs met. We just sold our home in Seattle and have had very stressed dogs, so we were in need of a peaceful place and found it in Holly's home. The garage was the perfect place for me to move our items into as I packed and unpacked. It was a lot easier with that garage as my staging place. Thank you Holly for a wonderful respite which I needed badly. Enjoyed. I would definitely stay again if we came back through Layton.
staying at this property was the best experience anyone cld have looking to stay around salt lake city. the house is perfect.everything worked great. the property is close to everything from shopping to skiing to site seeing. the home owner is by far the nicest most accommodating home owner ever. the house itself is perfect for this area. cozy fireplaces, nice appliances giant yard. my entire family was impressed from day 1 and it only got better. As for Holly there is no way anyone cld be a sweeter caring person. thank you so much Holly for everything you did for us. we are truly grateful. anyone wanting to stay around slc shld grab this house if it's available..you will absolutely love it.
From the moment I contacted Holly she was great. We told her we'd have 2 little ones with us and she was so accommodating. She made sure to get a pack 'n play, as well as bed rails for our 2-year-old. She even had Aveeno baby soap in the bathroom. We've stayed at a few different places and no one has been as thoughtful as Holly. She kept in contact and made sure everything was good. She addressed any questions we had quickly.
The house is also amazing. Lots of room for us and our girls and a great backyard to run around in. It's set at the base of the mountain and there was a bit of snow left so naturally we had to play in it. Everything is also close by so we never felt like we needed to go too far for much. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back to this house next time we're in Salt Lake.
Thank you, Holly for being such a great host!
The home was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The front and backyards were a complete delight - enormous green space with flowers, birds, and fruit trees! It truly felt like an oasis right up against the hillside.
I am a retired special education teacher and now enjoying time with my children and grandchildren. I enjoy out door activities and friendships. I have recently been involved in a treatment center for at-risk youth. I enjoyed that opportunity very much. I continue to look for opportunities to help struggling youth and parents while helping my children raise their children.
This home is my family home where I raised my sons. We love this home and we are happy to share it with people who enjoy the out of doors and the serene nature of the home.
This home is quiet, next to the mountains, great neighbors, and offers a feeling a serenity all around the home and on the inside. It is located against the mountain with great hiking, yet close to shopping, entertainment, and skiing.
