Quiet Mountainside home with amazing views just 15 minutes from skiing and town!
Enjoy this beautiful top floor (1250 square ft) of a 2-story home that features a great room with large full kitchen, dining and entertainment area, and childrenâs corner fully stocked with toys and games for making memories. Itâs roughly 15 minutes from Ogden and Snowbasin and 1 hour from Park City.
Master bedroom/bathroom with king size bed and a travel cot/crib. The second bedroom offers 1 queen size bed and a futon that folds out to a twin bed. Includes laundry, off street parking for at least 2 vehicles (1 covered). The home is on a large half-acre hillside lot that is naturally landscaped with mature trees. This house comes with a large deck off the kitchen that offers amazing views of the mountains and wildlife including rabbits, turkeys, moose and deer.
The owners live in the basement apartment on the property but are often away when the upstairs is rented. You may hear us going through our daily lives. We won't bother you and we want you to have a great trip.
Please Note: This arrangement is in full compliance with VRBO's policies. The apartment has its own entrance in the back of the house. The two areas are considered to be two separate residences.
Quiet location with great views close to Snowbasin skiing
Located in a quiet neighborhood close to Snowbasin skiing with great views from the deck. The kitchen was large and well equipped. The owner lives on site and was available for questions. Added bonus was watching the resident turkey flock.
This is a great place to stay, especially during ski season. The hosts are kind and gracious. The property has all the traveler should need, even for an extended stay. Highest recommendation!
We enjoyed staying here while we skied at Snowbasin, which was close to the mountain. The house had all of the amenities that we could ask for and Deborah was extremely quick at responding to any and all requests that we had. We would highly recommend this house rental to anyone who is visiting the area.
We had such a relaxing stay. Very quiet neighborhood with a comfortable deck to relax. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Highly recommend this place.
I live in a town and we had family visiting so we reserved Deborah's VRBO. My family liked it a lot. It was convenient and clean and had everything they needed.
Perfect quick getaway for a weekend of relaxing. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we need. Tucked away to get away but close enough to town if you need it. Check in and out was a breeze, great host, would stay again.
Super clean, exceptionally well furnished and decorated. All cooking supplies, even spices and such were provided and easily accessible. The hostess, Deborah, was very accommodating and readily accessible. The beds were comfortable. The view was great! We truly felt at home.
We found this home was as beautiful as it's pictures. We enjoyed sitting on the patio (in our full ski wear) to enjoy the view. The host put in great effort to make the property comfortable for us, including extensive shoveling of our abundance of snow. We will enjoy staying there again if circumstances permit. I recommend this home to you.
From the driveway to the bedrooms and from the dining room to the backyard, it felt like coming home! Small, yet thoughtful provisions made our stay more than comfortable. Fruit and snack basket on the table, farm fresh eggs in the fridge, combined with cozy blankets and linens made this classic home very welcoming. A large corner of the great room supplied lots of toys and SPACE for our littles (4 and 2) along with the Pau area in the very safe backyard. Quiet neighborhood and amazing views, plus s wild turkey made toys the perfect place to stay!!
Deborah is a helpful, gracious, honest host. Upper area of home is very spacious, beds comfortable and kitchen well equipped. Didnât use the TV but it is the size of the family room. Snowed every day - winter wonderland. Thanks.
This property is located close to Snowbasin, where I ski. That was the primary reason I chose it.
The bed was comfortable, the shower and sink had good water pressure, the kitchen had everything I could possibly want for food storage and preparation, the networking signal was reliable, and the laundry equipment worked well. Everything I needed was present.
Beyond that, the space was ample for about 4 adults, and the neighborhood was great for scenic walks. The owners were present on the property, but the rentable portion of the home provided adequate privacy. The property is professionally run, with care.
Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful time staying at the home. The updated bathrooms were well done and the new counters in the kitchen looked very nice and there was also a new washer and dryer. The back patio has new furniture, perfect for enjoying the breathtaking views of the mountains (donât forget to bring binoculars!) The beds were comfortable and was fun to check out the antique furniture throughout the home. ATT is a bit spotty on the mountain but the home has really good WiFi and smart TVs that had several apps for streaming. The closest has lots of family games and we stayed up late playing games together. The front yard is fenced and our dog loved watching the wild turkeys strut up and down the street gobbling at each other! We hope to get back there soon.
This was a most comfortable and completely adequate place to stand and the hostess was so accommodation! The kitchen had everything needed to make and serve our meals. Even with getting about uin my walker I was able to access everything, although it was a bit tight in places. The living and dinning area were very comfortable, allowing for us to visit, play board games, and watch TV. The bedrooms provided comfort, privacy, and ample choices for keeping our personal items. The en-suite bathroom was a little tight, lacked an electrical outlet but was very well stocked and served my mobility limitations well having a solid safety bar and shower seat. You will want to use your GPS t0 find this location, parking is okay for up to two cars, but access to the house for those with mobility issues is somewhat problematic
The patio in back has a good gas BBQ, a table for 4 for dinning, and comfortable seating. The yard is extremely well designed with excellent landscaping. Views from the back patio are most pleasant. Every morning we enjoyed a parade of wild turkeys across the road and one day a charming doe entertained us.
Adjacent to the living area is a small play area with games, toys, seating, and a small TV with kids DVD's for children.
I highly recommenced this home for couples and families.
The home was well furnished and had good amenities. The location is perfect, it is not too far from major attractions, but far enough away that you can enjoy the peace of the mountains. The view from the back porch is stunning. The host was super responsive. It was great place for my family of 3 to stay for the week.
We arrived to a lovely decorated Christmas tree and home, and to my hungry sonsâ delight, an awesome snack basket full of healthy fruit, nut bars, and chips! This is our second time abd most definitely not our last visit . Location is so convenient for winter adventures at Snowbasin, and not too far for a trip to Snowbird. Mother Nature did not cooperate on snow, but we sure enjoyed celebrating New Years on the comfy couch, giant TV and warm blankets. Tge kitchen is insanely well stocked. I even made waffles bc there was a waffle iron and all the ingredients in the cupboard! Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay 100%. Thank you Deborah and Gareth for a wonderful vacation!
Communication was great before and throughout our stay. Everything we needed was included. I highly recommend staying for the heavenly scenery and comfort of home.
Our stay was a nice reprieve from the city. The home was comfortable and quiet and dog walks were easy in the neighborhood. We will likely book to stay again some day since itâs such a great location, yet close to SLC.
Lovely, well appointed home with high quality linens, appliances, and comfortable furniture and gracious host! I lost the house key and she kindly came up and gave me a spare key, plus helped us dig our car out during freak winter storm at the end of March. My family and I visit many ski areas and rent many homes-Deborah us top 1%. We are definitely booking this home again!
The property is a well kept older home and the listing stated that you were getting the main floor with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This is accurate. It did not mention however that the owner lives in the basement and you are essentially sharing the house with them, although they do not come up to the main floor level. This is contrary to all of VRBOs TV commercials which claim you never share a house that you rent on VRBO. Likely a purposeful omission but the owner of this property to get around VRBOs rules. The house was nice but you could hear the owner in the basement and while you couldn't make out their conversations you could hear most everything they were doing. Not a private setting at all and we will not be returning. After checking the listing multiple times there is no reference to the owner living in the basement until you get there and find out in the "book" they live downstairs and "try" to be away when a guest is in the house but that was not our experience. Overall a very uncomfortable time given the lack of privacy we thought we would be getting and false advertising on VRBO.
Great home with a real fireplace. Very enjoyable to sit, watch, and listen to the fire on a snowy evening. Very cool neighborhood, lots of wild turkeys, also saw quail and a young moose during our stay. Owner was awesome, brought more wood for the fire when requested and we had everything we needed to cook meals and clean up after. Close to several great ski resorts and our favorite pizza place, The Pie.
Only problem is the capacity. It will sleep 6 if 2 of the 6 are little children. Owner did provide a blow up mattress which was greatly appreciated. Loved the place and would stay again if the chance comes up.
While these pictures are very beautiful they donât accurately represent the property. It was portrayed to be bright, clean, open and new, however that was not the case. The living area was covered in dog hair. While we are pet lovers, the amount of pet dander aggravated our allergies the moment we walked in. Upon spending more time in the home, we noticed that we could hear the owners on the lower level. We could hear their conversations so clearly that we heard their conversation about dinner and even their silverware on the plates. When we mentioned it to each other, the talking immediately stopped. We felt very uncomfortable knowing they could hear everything we were saying. Upon further investigation, we noticed the door going down to the lower level was locked but only locked on the other side of the door. After learning all of these things, we decided that we did not feel comfortable staying somewhere that was so clearly misleading and weâre forced to find other accommodations. We reached out to the host in hopes get a refund and were met with a long explanation filled with excuses. While I understand that life happens, there is truly no reason for misleading pictures as well as the amount of pet hair that was inside the home. She refunded us about one third of the cost-the money we spent at the Hilton Garden Inn for appropriate accommodations was money well spent. We didnât stay and you probably shouldnât either.
I have lived in the Ogden area most of my life and am excited to share it with the world, one listing at a time. I'm retired. My son and I live in the basement apartment in the home and come and go from time to time. We try to be away when the upstairs has been booked, but that's not always possible. If away, we've usually not gone very far and so available. We're low key and willing to help and be there for visitors as much as THEY desire. Please note that my husband and I raised 6 kids and have had a multitude of pets. Noise is expected and appreciated!
I discovered Mountain Green in 1972 and have always wanted to live there. Whenever it was time to move within the area, Mountain Green was always first on the list to explore. Finally, in 2016 we found the property we now own and have been working on it ever since. It was a total "fixer upper" inside and out. There's "good bones" here and feel we've been able to make it our own. We love the clean mountain air, ever present wildlife, the neighbors, the large pines that surround the property and the views that are amazing year round.
Being just 15 minutes away from town and shopping to the west and 15 minutes from skiing, fishing and kayaking, etc. just 15 minutes to the east. Actually, I often take my dog walking just outside my door along the quiet roads and trails adjacent to the neighborhood. Just 1 mile down from the house to Old Highway one can find one of the more popular road biking options that others have to "drive up" here to enjoy. One can head east on that road that connects to and past Morgan, or turn left onto Trappers Loop, then another left to Snowbasin, or straight onto Huntsville, Eden, South Fork Canyon. South Fork can take one the back way to Bear Lake and Idaho and on and on....
