Highly recommend this home to anyone coming to Wilmington. Close to the riverwalk and downtown. Home is very well appointed and clean with lots of extras like kcups, snacks, and shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Big porch to enjoy sitting outside. Easy to find parking with side yard. Very responsive host. This is a top notch property.
I have lived in NC most of my life, and this area by the coast is my FAVORITE! We love surfing, swimming, boating, and long beach walks anytime of the year. I love being a host, trying to think of the extra details I can include to make a person's stay as special as it can be- Return guests are my absolute favorite!
The neighborhood of Brooklyn in downtown Wilmington has so much history! from the early 1800's when Wilmington was the largest city in the state, to the last 30 years, as it's become known as the Art's District in downtown. Our lot we have as our side garden and parking area once was the home to the infamous Speak Easy called the Green Lantern!! it burned down in the early 1940's-but there are ton's of interesting stories in the archives to do a deep dive into Wilmington History over the last 200 years!!.
Brooklyn House is a brick craftsman home, built in aprox 1935. It was owned by M. Helen Little for 60 years of it's span, until we purchased it in 2022 and at that time it had fallen into disrepair. We completed a full remodel and update on the home in 2024, and started sharing our home as a short term space in July 2024. The spaces feel chic and super comfortable at the same time- and we wanted every space to function like a real home, and not just a rental. We have hosted private cooking classes, bridal parties, romantic getaways, and families in for wedding celebrations all over downtown. We sincerely hope you like our home on Campbell street as much as we do!!
