Cozy, clean a little outdated, but very charming! Downside is, there is no Wi-Fi, and with our Verizon having one bar to none there we cannot really use phones to contact family members that were at the lodge. We would still stay again!
We booked this condo last minute and the Moores were so helpful in getting our reservation made quickly. We visited in the off season so it was super quiet, which we loved. The Moores have everything you would need for a stay away from home!! We loved the place so much we didnt want to leave. Cant wait to plan our next visit. Thank you Lavonne & Richard for the great hospitality.
We rented this condo as overflow for an additional house we rented (large family gathering). Our 20-somethings found it comfortable and clean. We had some initial trouble getting in, but Lavonne was very responsive and solicitous and we had no troubles after that. There is no WiFi provided, but the cell service was adequate. Grateful for the hospitality. Thank you to the Moores.
This property is dated and all the linens have not been updated in a while. Worn out towels and worn out sheets. Even the kitchen sponges were old & dirty. The master bed was not made when we got there. I also noticed there is dirty laundry left from last guest which I ended up washing for them along with my laundry before leaving.. The owners instructions were extensive. I think they want to save money and not hire a cleaner and have you do most of the work for them. I would definitely not stay here again. My kids even said they don't want to stay here again. I have furnished rentals and I would never have my properties in this condition when a guest arrived. Definitely not worth the price. The ambience of a property can set the mood of a vacation and we ended up leaving early because of the quality of this property. I almost didn't leave a review because I don't like leaving negative reviews. But I know how other guest count on reading reviews before choosing your stay.
This condo has everything you need and is an easy drive from the ski area. The fireplace was cozy and wood and cleanup was very easy. There is no wifi, so it is not a place to decamp to work remotely -- however, while the cell signal was weak, we were able to stay fully connected and even stream videos so connectivity was not a real problem. The condo was immaculate and the owners were great with instructions, recommendations, and arrival/departure was a breeze. Would return again!
We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. The unit was well stocked with everything youâd need and it was very clean. We also enjoyed its coziness and the wood burning fireplace (free wood also provided). Lastly, the owners were so responsive whenever we had a question. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at this cute condo for a weekend of skiing. The location is so convenient- just a short distance down the road to the ski resort. Condo had plenty of room for our family of 4 and all the necessities. Being along the golf course made for a nice afternoon walk as well. Would definitely stay here again when skiing at Wintergreen.
This property appears exactly as listed. It has everything you need in order to have a splendid weekend getawayâŠ. Comfortable bed, plenty of firewood, and a well-outfitted kitchen.
In a perfect location on the mountain⊠And close to hiking trails, breweries, wineries, and distilleries.
Please make note that there is no Wi-Fi as we did not realize that until we arrived⊠Iâm sure it was in the listing, but I must have overlooked it.
My husband and two toddlers (2.5 and 1) and I had a wonderful time staying at the condo. It perfectly fit our needs and had beautiful views out the bedroom windows. We loved being near the golf course, too, which gave us some space to run around since it was the off season. We hiked to and drove to Devil's Knob Overlook - an absolutely breathtaking view! Time well spent at Wintergreen for a short getaway, and we can't wait to return.
We've stayed at Moore's condo last weekend and had an amazing time. I can't wait to go back and relax by the fireplace. It is very cozy and warm place with many unique details and welcoming touches. We decided to take shuttle to the skiing area and it was great idea. We've also enjoyed lunch at The Edge and mountain views on the way to the condo.
A nice property with a well equipped kitchen. A great place to access the Blue Ridge, wineries and distilleries. Dining opportunities were limited due to most of the restaurants in the resort being closed.
We are midwesterners. Having lived all over the U.S., we currently reside in Roanoke, VA. We purchased and rennovated the condo ourselves and have turned it into our mountaintop escape destination.
The location offers numerous seasonal activities--skiing, golfing, tennis, etc.--and year round activities, e.g. winery/brewery touring, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway touring, and the Shenandoah National Park, Sherando Lake, and Charlottesville and Jefferson's Monticello, all within a short drive. Also located close to the newly coined 'Brew Ridge Trail,' featuring dozens of wineries, breweries, and hard cideries, and restaurants.
Location, location, location. We chose this place because of the beauty of the place and because of the diversity of entertainment options all close by. It's not just a ski resort. There is truly something for everyone. Skiing, wine/beer tasting/touring, hiking, scenic drives, golf, tennis, horseback riding, swimming, kayaking, fishing, etc. Or, you can just relax at the spa, or hang out and read.
