Welcome to your perfect getaway! This home is located just 20 minutes from both Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach, and only 15 minutes from historic downtown Wilmington. Nestled among tall, old-growth trees, our home offers a peaceful retreat in a safe, quiet neighborhood.
Unwind in the hot tub on the deck after a day of exploring or curl up by the indoor wood-burning fireplace. Firewood is provided for both the fireplace and the backyard fire pit.
Walk 2 blocks to Wade Park. The park has a trail surrounding the man-made wetland that is 1/2 mile long. Full playground in the park. Wooden walking bridge over wetland. Lots of wildlife.
Drive 5 minutes to Trails End Park on the intracoastal waterway where you will find a boat and kayak launch as well as a fishing pier.
The space
This home is a little less than 1300 square feet. Even though there are only 2 bedrooms, it sleeps 8 people. One queen size bed in one bedroom. Bunk beds and a full bed in the other spacious bedroom. Sleeper sofa in the living room. Two full bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen.
Although 8 people can be accommodated, the house works best with 6 or less.

Hi! I'm Kay Lynn. I own Wilmington Outdoor Adventures and partly operate the business from this property. Our fleet of kayaks are in the back yard! I'm a wildlife biologist and spend time overseas managing a research station. I'm an avid surfer, and this home has been the perfect place for me because it is equidistant from Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach...both just 20 minutes away.
I love birds and there is a pair of Red-shouldered Hawks that nest each year in a tall, loblolly pine in the back yard. Pileated woodpeckers are common in my yard, along with cardinals, warblers, wrens and so many migrating through.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
The neighborhood is established with old growth trees and well-kept, middle-class homes. It is safe. It is close to my favorite park in the city...Wade Park. I rented in this neighborhood for about 6 years and looked all over Wilmington for a home to buy. After a year of searching, I bought a home in the same neighborhood! That is how much I love it. It is close to everything, yet quiet and peaceful.
Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
My home is HOMEY. It is comfortable and hard to leave with everything one needs right there. I have enjoyed the therapeutic hot tub immensely. It is a Bullfrog hot tub and, I think, the best. The wood burning fireplace is wonderful during the cooler months as well. There is a large, fenced-in back yard for your furry family member to run in. The house is set back in large, old-growth trees. The kitchen, dining and living areas are all open to one another. It feels spacious.
