Not a bad stay

Stayed here for the Citrus bowl, for 4 days in total, my only complaints being no wand for the shower, and was fairly hot in the apartment, with no way to change the temperature of the apartment (texted the host about if they could change the temp themselves as there seemed to be no thermostat in the apartment, and never got a response.) overall though it was not a bad stay for what we were here for.

I always leave my personal phone number inside the apartment for anything you might need. We typically set the thermostat to a comfortable 73 degrees, but we were experiencing some AC issues during your stay. Thankfully, we were able to resolve it the same day. Awkward….

The unit looks as the pictures show, but the setup is a bit awkward. It is not an apartment, but rather a pool house attached to a main home. To enter, you have to open the homeowner’s gate and walk around the side yard, then enter the pool enclosure to find the door. This was confusing and unnerving when we first arrived. There is a door in the living room that connects to the main house. It is double dead-bolted but still made me slightly uncomfortable. Saturday night, there was some type of party happening in the main house that was extremely loud and kept me awake until nearly 2am.

Hi Amanda! Thank you so much for your review! I appreciate your feedback about the entrance. It’s located at the back of the house to offer our guests a bit more privacy, and there's a lovely illuminated pathway leading right to it. We always do our best to inform guests about the apartment's entrance by the pool area, so I apologize if that wasn’t clear. I'm really sorry to hear about your experience, especially with the noise. Just to reassure you, while the door in the living room does connect to the main house, it's securely locked both ways for your comfort. On February 16th, we celebrated our wedding anniversary, and we had a little Valentine’s celebration for the kids, which I’m sorry caused some noise. Please know that this is not a usual occurrence, and most of our guests love how quiet and peaceful our property is. We'll definitely make sure this doesn’t happen again. We would love to welcome you back for a much better experience. I’m confident that you’ll see it in a different light next time! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

This property was a walled off section of the owners private home. Honestly, it felt a little sketchy coming in through the gate to the back of the house. There was some sort of construction going on, and the parking spot that was “reserved for guests” was taken. We could hear the owners throughout the night, presumably going up and down their stairs or maybe it was the construction going on in the garage. The room was warm at night, with no thermostat to adjust to our liking, since it was not an actual apartment as listed. An apartment would have a separate thermostat. The beds were uncomfortable, especially the sofa bed where you could feel the slates from the bottom of the bed.

Hi Erin, Thanks for your feedback and for staying with us! We’re sorry about the inconvenience — we were hoping to finish construction before your arrival, but a few delays got in the way. Your spot was reserved through your days, only when you first arrived the guy that was doing the construction had his car parked there, but he moved right away when we asked.. The entrance is noted in the listing, and we chose memory foam mattresses and goose feather bedding to make things as comfy as possible. The sofa bed is the best fit for the space, and the mattress can't be changed, its a regular sofa bed mattress...For the temperature, we’re always happy to adjust it — just a quick message away! I only adjust temperature if requested by guests usually is set on 74, we also left extra ac fans in living room and bedroom for extra comfort! Thanks again for your visit and for helping us improve!
