Casa Rio Tortuga - Colibri Casita - Adults Only - Newly Built
Casa Rio Tortuga is nestled on the Tortuga River in the less-touristy village of Ojochal. This un-touched village boasts wonderful restaurants, waterfalls and tropical beaches. Located almost directly between Sierpe to the south and Dominical to the north thereâs bountiful discoveries awaiting the adventurer! Our casitas are beautifully outfitted with one queen bed, porch area, and a private bathroom. Casitas are adjoined by a well-styled shared outdoor kitchen with seating for dining, entertaining, or enjoying a cocktail.
Excellent contrast between the neomodern architecture of Casa Rio Tortuga and the surrounding tropical jungle typical in this part of Costa Rica. Aaron was more than just helpful with our daily excursions rrstaurant
Very nice room with soft towels and extra touches.
The room was clean and had a large window slider to look out at nature. The owner added extra touches the soft large towels was a nice alternative to the scratchy towels you normally get. Outdoor kitchen was well equipped. The owner has put in a lot of extras to make out stay enjoyable.
This newly built property is beautiful and Aaron was a fantastic host, who knows all the great people & places to go in the area. WILDLIFE EVERYWHERE! I loved the sound of the river & birds in the morning with my coffee :-) The pool/property was amazing - snuggled in the middle of the jungle (rugged & authentic Costa Rica)
I highly recommend this property & we will be back soon! We are rebooking for next year already....
I met Costa Rica in January of 2021. I had Covid the previous October and the country having just re-opened, allowed travelers with the antibodies to come visit. A country where tourism is a huge part of their livelihood, I fell in love. I immediately canceled my February Florida trip ( Iâve been avoiding Michigan winters for years now) and stayed until early March that year. People here are kind, considerate and love nature. The toxic political divide, toxic food, and loss of decorum in the north made me realize I needed a change. In November of 2023 I left that behind and am enjoying the Pura Vida lifestyle.
In January of â23 I explored the pacific coast and discovered the OSA region where the rainforest hills meet the ocean. Where waterfalls, flora and fauna abound. The idea of what I always thought Costa Rica would be. Ojochal is tucked up off Ruta 34 and is a planned neighborhood divided into phases by a French developer. Itâs a village in the jungle and is beautiful. You donât hear or see the buses and trucks and human pollution. Rivers, ocean, majestic trees, birds, turtles, butterflies, monkeys all abound. A true paradise. Phase 10 is a gated community nestled back in Ojochal and is beautifully relaxing.
This unique property was designed by me, a retired school teacher who loves entertaining and touring. Youâll be able to relax on your porch or outdoor kitchen, take a hike down to the Tortuga river or chill by the pool with a cocktail. If youâre adventuring, which thereâs a plethora of options, you can choose to tour on an ATV or go deep sea fishing, scuba diving, or explore a region by hiking or by boat. Zip lines, horseback riding, beaching or water falling and five star dining are also on the menu of many activities and opportunities! Surfs up. Come visit! Pura Vida.
