The house was decorated for the season which felt lovely and cozy. The kitchener was well equipped with many kinds of applications like a coffee grinder and a food processor which fancies us because we like to cook. The BBQ was great as well. The hot tub was a great reprieve. We want to book again with our kids. Great stay!

Feels like home.

Very relaxing and inviting. We enjoyed the gorgeous view from the living area and hot tub on our cool evenings. The master suite bath is exceptional and the bed very comfortable. We would stay again!

End Of season stay!

We arrived end of March / first week of April to Silverstar to get some end of season Nordic and alpine turns in. Accommodations very clean and very well equipped Kitchen. Weber BBQ was a nice touch!

Great Property on the Knoll

One of the better properties we've stayed at on the Knoll. The kitchen was large and fully stocked, the living room had great views for a lower-level suite, the master bathroom with fireplace was amazing and the hot tub and Apple TV were added bonuses that the kids (and weary adults) appreciated apres-ski! We'll definitely be coming back!

Really nice getaway

We had a great time at this property. It's located on the top of the mountain and provided us with a nice relaxing weekend.The soaker tub and hot tub are highlights, with plenty of space for lounging. The kitchen was fully stocked and the dishwasher is virtually silent. The TVs have access to various streaming services which kept us entertained during downtime.It's located 25 minutes from Vernon which allowed us to explore the surrounding area without having to travel long distances.Overall I'd say this place is a great value and we'll definitely be visiting again.

Stayed here with my family of 5 for 3 nights to go skiing at Silverstar in mid April during last extended week of the season. The house was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The hot tub was great and everything was in good working order. We had our own car, but shuttle bus was available just across the street to the village. Overall great experience.

our first White Christmas

Absolutely magical time in Silverstar during Christmas. We are from NZ and this was a family white Christmas trip. The apartment was the icing on the cake - spacious, well appointed, good location and beautifully decorated with Christmas trimmings and decorations. Would very much like to stay there again if we get the opportunity. Many thanks.

Awesome experience in a superior place!

What a fantastic stay we had at Dachshund House. Rob the owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, even setting up a Christmas tree with little native Australian animals amongst the decorations on the tree! We stayed for 4 weeks (family of 5) as part of a “once in a lifetime” 2.5 month trip together and were not disappointed, apart from the fact we could not stay longer at the property! The furnishings were comfortable, the kitchen was extremely well stocked with plenty of utensils, crockery, glassware (including bar ware) and appliances.The property was well heated and the 2 x fireplaces were a treat, my wife especially enjoying the one adjacent the large ensuite spa bathtub off the main bedroom. Hot-tub was well used to soak in and share stories of our day on the hill. We would love to come back again to stay and fingers crossed we will! Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable.

Perfect

Our family of 4 stayed here for 5 weeks for Christmas 2018/19. It was perfect for us and we hope to return. Ski out was about a 50 metre walk from the driveway and the return to the property was easy with the resort shuttle which literally dropped us at the driveway to the condo, all so easy for us and our children. The condo itself was very neat, clean, tidy and modern with all the conveniences and equipped with everything we needed for our 5 week stay. The apple tv / Netflix and the hot tub in particular, were luxuries we enjoyed immensely. Rob was most helpful in the booking process and for the duration of our stay. A fantastic property in an idyllic setting, we’re already planning our return to Silver Star. Simon, Amanda, Hamish and Oliver.

Gorgeous property with all the bells and whistles!

We stayed at this property over Christmas and it was the perfect place to stay! Beautifully appointed throughout, very comfortable sofas and heavenly beds - just what you need after enjoying the slopes of Silver Star. Rob's place really is 5 star with Apple TV, loads of movies to choose from, gorgeous big fireplace and thank you for putting up the beautiful Christmas decorations and the bottle of wine on arrival! Much appreciated after our long days' travel! The private spa on the deck was heaven after a hard days skiing. Booking and arrival was very easy, great communication and Rob was very helpful. The property on the knoll is far enough away from the village to enjoy the serenity of the mountains yet you can walk across the road and ski the Silverwoods chair a couple of times before anyone else gets there! And ski along the skiroad from SilverQueen (a bit of a push but doable) or jump on the shuttle from the main village which will drop u off at the driveway! Thanks Rob, we hope to be back!

Stayed for a month- wish we could have stayed longer!

This lodging was great for our long-term stay for our family of four. Key items that stood out for our long term rental include a well laid out floor plan, deep freeze included, larger living area, comfortable furniture, cozy decor, SUPER stocked kitchen (complete with 2 crockpots, coffee bean grinder, sushi plates/soy sauce bowls, wine glasses, etc!), BBQ, large kitchen pantry to store A LOT. The enclosed entrance area/boot room was spacious and extremely functional with keeping all of our snow/ski gear in one place. Having garage access to store skis, tobaggans and snowshoes was also very convenient. Shuttle comes around reliably every half hour to get to Village and back home from skiing. We found the shuttle was the best way to get back from skiing, but skiing out was extremely easy via either skiway access #3 or #4. Easy walk to tube town and skating pond by cutting down through underneath Silver Queen chair. Thanks for a great stay!

Real 5 star!

We were two couples and stayed here for a month. As you can see from the photographs, this is a wonderful unit. Beautifully designed, well appointed and maintained. There is a large storage room (not shown in the photos) so no need to keep those big suitcases in the bedrooms. Ski storage is in the garage which makes it simple. Booking was easy. Rob and his staff truly understand customer service. The hot tub is amazing. First of all, it is like the rest of the unit, kept impeccably clean and maintained. But the great thing is it's so private, surrounded on two sides with large trees. We felt like we were in a tree house hot tub, with sneak views of the Monashee Mountains. Ski out is less than a two minute walk to the trail access, ski in is a five minute walk from the Silver Queen chair (or you can take the Skiway from the top of the Silver Queen chair, make it to the trail access and then a two minute walk back to the condo). For when you want to keep it real simple, the shuttle from the village drops you off right at the driveway, for free! From the living room, the view of the sunrise over the mountains is worth getting up early for. Being on the Knoll is wonderful. At night you can walk along the Skiway and is it serenely peaceful. We checked around the resort and realized that we were in the best location! We enjoyed our stay so much that we are coming back next year, for a longer stay!

Sixties and still having fun!

We had a great stay at this property! We did both Nordic & Downhill. Ski in/out was good. Hot Tub has a nice setting around snow covered tree's. On a bluebird day the view of the Monashee's would be amazing. Info about shuttle in the unit would have been nice. Did not figure out the shuttle runs around the knoll until last day.

Awesome way to wrap up the season

We rented this condo while we did the S2S Nordic race and it was perfect for me and my family. Rob was so awesome to communicate with and when we had to bring our pooch at the last minute. The location is great and getting to the village was a breeze with the shuttle stopping right across the road- we were able to get my 4yr old and 2 yr old down and ready in time. Skiing was great for the final weekend and we would be happy to rent again from Rob.
