Les points faibles : Communication, emplacement, exactitude de lâannonce
I have had issues with the host after checking out. She complained about our dogs, there were a couple accidents but not what she is claiming. I had to purchase insurance and pay a deposit, the claims she said were not put on insurance but taken from my deposit. While trying to communicate with her, she was rude and not helpful. I was double charged for my stay, and she claimed she could not access VRBO, a day later she then told me I had to contact VRBO myself. Also, parking is a disgrace and the walk to the beach is farther than led to believe.
My sister and I really enjoyed the cottage. It was comfortable, quiet neighborhood and was in walking distance of the beach. We highly recommend for future stays.
Very cute cottage with great location. Close to grocery store, the boardwalk, restaurants, and the ocean, but not too close. Host shared great information and it was a welcoming place to stay.
The cottage was perfect for us (husband, wife, 16-year-old daughter and 13-month-old puppy). It was wonderfully prepped for our 3-night visit. The location had great access to the beach and the public parking garage.
We had a lovely stay. Check in was super easy and our host communicated with us extremely well. We were able to get in an hour early which was very helpful. The house is very cute and decorated with care. The kitchen had everything we needed including two types of coffee pots, and other appliances. Beds were comfortable. We loved the screened in porch and all the flowers and plants. Overall, a great stay
The location is terrific and the house is delightful. Denise has thought of everything a visitor could need, and then some. She communicated important information ahead of time and was very responsive from booking through our stay. If we head to Virginia Beach again, we will absolutely plan to stay at the little pink house.
Our stay was amazing. We had a mixup with dates and the owner worked with us to adjust. The location is perfect and we loved having our morning coffees in the adirondack chairs put front.
We had a lovely long weekend at this special and unique little cottage, walking distance to the middle of the boardwalk in Virginia Beach. The location is great, the cottage is very comfortable and beautifully maintained and the host was terrific and very accommodating. Truly enjoyed all the beautiful flowers surrounding the property- every day something different was blooming!
Quaint but modern enough and just a few blocks from boardwalk, restaurants, and supermarket. Lots of amenities in walking distance. The main downside is the lack of onsite parking, but the owner provided a pass for a garage about 1 1/2 blocks away, so it wasnât a big deal.
Denise provided great communication, the property was very clean and full of history, and the neighbourhood was very walkable. Once you venture out off property be aware of your surroundings and enjoy your stay.
First time visiting Virginia Beach for Track & Field Nationals. We had the best time at the pink cottage! Perfect location to beach, restaurants and athletic center. Hope to be back soon!!!
Home was as advertised and owner was accessible. However we didnt need owner because everything we needed was there and owner guves great instructions before arrival.
Such a cute home! We had a very enjoyable stay! The beds were very comfortable and the hosts were great at communicating and accommodating our needs! Would definitely rent again!
The host was amazing. The property was very welcoming and cozy. It was also close to the boardwalk, shops and restaurants. There were also enough utensils to prepare dinner there if you choose to dine in. I definitely recommend staying at the Pink House
sstaying at the Pink House House House
This is our second time staying at the Pink House. It is very clean and comfortable. The beds are soft and the host provides beautiful fresh flowers and snacks! Itâs walking distance to the beach and to local restaurants. Plus, if you enjoy beautiful gardens youâre in for a treat! The yard is small but packed with a variety of gorgeous plants- a little oasis!
Very nice house! The book of restaurants and the book of stuff were super helpful in pointing out things to do, places to see, and the menus in the book of restaurants were a lifesaver. Hope to come back next year!
I am a cartoonist and obsessive gardener, grew up in Virginia Beach after my Navy family settled here. I still live in the area, just a few miles away. Tom, my husband and transplanted Buck-eye from Ohio, was a newspaper reporter for over 30 years, for the local transit company as a 'talking head', now retired as well he can be. We now balance our VaBch life with a Richmond life so that we are able to help with our grandbaby's childcare. You can ask me about any flower in the garden and I can tell you more than you want to hear. My husband and I both like to cook. My husband's constant goal is to get beyond all the many projects I keep coming up with. My mother was French, from the South of France, but I have become terribly rusty with the language. We lived in this cottage, were married in the backyard, taught our daughter to walk on the front path. Please enjoy it and make it part of your family's story too.
The Pink House is very special to our family. I bought it as a young woman when it had seen better days. The area is quirky, artsy, and alive. Originally, I believe the now 75 year old house was a summer home for a Norfolk family, only used occasionally. I loved how close it was to everything and all the activity surrounding it. The paneling, bathroom tile and fireplace are original late 1940-early 50s. With my father's help, I fixed it up and added the back closet area, redid the kitchen, and over time, made it into a cute, though small, comfortable cottage. My husband-to-be moved into the white apartments next door. We became friends and eventually married at the cottage with all our friends attending a backyard ceremony. After our first child was born, the tiny space got to be a bit difficult, so we moved further away, keeping the Pink House as a rental to help pay for it. We love to hike in the State Park and often ride bikes on the boardwalk or go listen to a concert. I love the Neptune Festival in September and buying ice cream during evening strolls. In the Spring of 2016, I decided I wanted to keep the house for family and friends to visit, so we added air conditioning and furnished the house as we would like to live, to be enjoyed by others who might see the same potential in this remnant from earlier days. We are not interested in renting it all the time, but I am proud of this house and would like to share the joy it has given me with other travelers.
No question, everyone's favorite part of this house is the front porch. Originally, without air conditioning, it was too hot to stay inside so I had a little table for eating and a sitting area for visiting. Every morning I would get my coffee and putter in the garden and in the evening I would go ride my bike or rollerblade on the boardwalk. I love the open kitchen and the huge sunlit windows. I am still acquainted with the neighbors and am often there to work on the garden. Within walking distance there's the beach, concerts, food, the Convention Center, lots of restaurants and activities. I've had complete strangers stop to admire the house and take photos of the garden. There's always something going on, always activity. I love my Little Pink House!
