Welcome to Robinhood's, Lil John Coastal Cottage! Cozy & modern, it's a perfect get-away! W/ a large fenced yard, screened in porch area to enjoy meals or morning coffee, & firepit for a relaxing evening, you will have an amazing Sarasota experience both on and off the beach! Located on a quiet cul-de-sac on Robinhood St. that is walkable to restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and right across the bridge from Siesta Key (4 miles to the beach)! We're pet friendly for furry friends under 30lbs!

Tucked on a on a quiet cul-de-sac off Robinhood Street, The Lil John Coastal Cottage is behind the main rental duplex and is accessed by a coral rock & solar light lined path that leads to it under an Oak tree in our own Sherwood Forest. The cottage offers a charming blend of comfort and convenience, with easy access to nearby restaurants, shops, and grocery stores, all within walking distance.
As you step inside, youâll be greeted by a warm and inviting living space, thoughtfully designed with updated dĂ©cor and modern amenities. The living room features a comfortable seating area with a sofa and queen sized pull out bed (Feel free to bring the kids or another couple with this space) and a large Roku TV, perfect for movie nights or relaxing after a day at the beach.
The bedroom boasts a new queen-sized bed with a reclaimed wood-pallet headboard, dressed in soft hotel-style sheets and bedding. Upscale window shades ensure you can sleep in if needed. A dresser and closet provide ample storage, keeping your space organized throughout your stay. There is also a full length mirror to help you look your best each day.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals at home, including an electric range, microwave (with combo convection oven), and a coffee bar complete with a Keurig coffee maker, k-cup pods, and locally sourced Kawha coffee. The kitchen is also stocked with pots, pans, plates, and essential pantry items, so youâre ready for anything, whether cooking at home or packing for a beach day.
The newly updated and upgraded bathroom is small but adequate and features a new vanity, mirror, lighting and walk n shower with a rainfall shower head coming from the ceiling
The Outdoor Space
Step outside to enjoy the large, fenced yard (shared space)- a perfect spot for your furry friends under 30lbs to play safely, the yard is fully fenced in with our new gates on each side of the front duplex. The screened-in porch is an ideal setting for enjoying your morning coffee or evening meals, while the fire pit and seating area offer a tranquil space for relaxing under the stars while you BBQ on the provided propane gas grill in the shared backyard.
**We can sometimes accommodate early baggage drop-off for a $50 fee or you can utilize local baggage storage - inquire with us for a link
**If an early check-in is wanted, inquire with us to see if we can accommodate you. If there are no same-day guests check-outs, we may be able to arrange early check-in for an additional fee depending on how many hours earlier the check-in is. The same applies for a Late checkout.
***In regards to Florida's natural wildlife, floral and fauna, we will sometimes experience mosquitoes, ants, spiders, cockroaches, etc outside. We have regular pest treatments performed both inside & outside the units. We also personally, utilize bait, traps and sprays to keep these insects outside where they belong. Please don't keep windows without screens or doors open too long as you nay inadvertently let some inside. Should you come across any pests during your stay, please make us aware so we can address the situation. While it's rare to come across these pests inside, a refund will not be offered for the occasional occurrence. We always want you to be comfortable during your stay and you will find that we act quickly and with compassion to resolve any issues you have. We just need to be aware of it in order to resolve anything. ***
Guests may use the whole cottage and the backyard has a shared space with guests from an our other 2 rental units in the duplex at the front of the property. The backyard includes a sun lounger and side table, a fire-pit and seating plus a propane gas grill for guests to use. Propane is sometimes provided. If the tank is empty you can exchange it at a gas station for a full tank to use during your stay at your expense. Fire wood is sometimes available and can be bought at the hardware store or Home Depot/Lowes etc. The firewood stacked in backyard are fresh tree cuttings that aren't seasoned and won't burn well as of Summer 2024. While staying at the cottage you have 1 assigned driveway parking spot with signage and 1 street parking spot with signage for a total of 2 cars allowed during your stay.
We are available if needed and only check-in with guests one or two times during your stay to make sure you have everything you require. We can offer more or less interaction depending on what our guests desire.
We provide fast, free WIFI throughout the cottage.
Check-in is effortless with our Schlage Encode Wifi smart locks; youâll receive your code on the day of arrival along with a detailed Guest & House manual filled with helpful information and suggestions.
Looking for beach gear? Weâve got you covered with beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler for your beach outings.
Quiet hours are from 10pm - 8am in consideration of other guests.

We (Host and Co-Host) are both Realtors and have a great knowledge of the area. Michael was born and raised in Sarasota. I was born and raised in Oklahoma but lived in Maui, Hawaii before moving to Sarasota to be close to my parents who retired in Lakewood Ranch area. We love the area we live in and enjoy the beaches, sunsets and sunrises, boating, the nightlife, arts and culture that Sarasota and Bradenton have to offer. Have questions? Reach out! Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and has families and multi-generational residents. Its walkable to restaurants and Trader Joes grocery. It is also very close to Siesta Key and the beach but far enough away to not worry about most storms and flooding. Its important to understand that its a privilege to stay in a residential neighborhood when on vacation, holiday or while working remotely or otherwise. Please be respectful of neighbors and observe quiet hours. Complaints will be dealt with by warning and then asking you and your guests to leave if repeated complaints occur

The property is a triplex. Technically, a duplex in the front with 2 units for rent and a cottage in the backyard. The backyard is a shared space and is gated for safety of pets. It was built in 1939 and has unique features and charm.
