I love staying in a home. I felt like a good family lived here and I was able to sneak a peak at that period of time. The cabinets are FANTASTIC. Definitely recommend this house if youâre in the area.
Easy check in. Extremely clean bungalow. Air conditioning was so awesome. Very comfortable bed. Thanks for sharing your place with us, we enjoyed our stay so much. If I return to Cave City I will definitely stay here again.
Lovely place to stay, with it's quirks. Close to Mammoth Cave NP, near some good eats, and private. The hot water was excellent, and the kitchen had everything we needed.Host was nice and friendly.
We received helpful and timely communication from host when our travel plan changed due to car trouble. The house was located within walking distance from Cave City's main street with great coffee shop & restaurants. It was also only minutes away from Mammoth Cave. The house kitchen was stocked with cooking utensils.
Super charming party of cave City. My kids loved crossing the train tracks to the cute playground / park, and Ace coffee shop nearby was awesome. Try the breakfast muffin and arugula salad. We fell in love with the neighbors sweet cat. Obviously great access to the caves and horseback riding. Gorgeous sunsets over the corn fields. Just a fabulous time!
Great little cottage in a quiet area, with walking distance to the downtown watering hole. I was pleased with the kitchen utensils for cooking! We had a great time and would stay again
Clean, nice home perfectly located close to Mammoth cave and all activities in the area. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare simple meals. Loved the board games for the evenings and rainy day with the kids. Made us feel right at home.
Very nice little home. Reminded me of my grandparents old farm house. Great location for exploring the area. Easy to walk into downtown. Park is really close for little ones. Try Cave City Pizza. It was great! It was missing the futon in the second bedroom but the bunk beds were good.
I cleaned up as we went during our stay and cleaned extra before leaving and the host acted like we had a college frat party me and my mother stayed there Motherâs Day weekend they were demanding an extra 125 for cleaning totally unreasonable !!!!
The property was clean and we had no issues. Very quiet neighborhood but be aware the railroad is close by and you will hear occasional trains. Didnt bother us! Tyler was very communicative and helpful and is a gracious host. Cave City doesnt have much open but a coffee shop, but we used this location as our base to explore southern Kentucky. It is perfect for that!
Great central spot to explore Mammoth Cave NP.
Pros: Very dog friendly and even made friends with the next door cat, Callie, who greeted us daily. The shower had hot water and good pressure. The kitchen had all the basics needed for cooking our meals. The provided folgers coffee was a perk I used however, if you prefer specialty coffee go to Ace Coffee down the road. The mattresses were very comfortable and the AC was efficient.
Cons: The old laundry pipes had a strong odor (owner did answer and fixed the issue immediately). There is a large grate in between the rooms that is large enough to catch toes and a tripping hazard. The grill needs to be cleaned and/or a grill brush provided. The sheets in the bunk room were 100% polyester and plasticky to sleep on.
Overall the price was right and all amenities were provided for a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay here again.
Host was very accommodating to our requests of an early arrival in our holiday travels. But we were surprised & wished we would have known it was across the street from an active train track especially with kids.
The condition of the house was older than expected with stains on the carpet & what looked like animal droppings on the window sill. For an $80 cleaning fee I expected the house to be in better condition. There was also a grate in the floor at the intersection of the bathroom, kitchen, living room & kids bedroom which didn't seem kid or pet friendly.
Appreciated the response time & flexibility of the hosts but wouldn't stay here again.
Home was clean and comfortable for a one night stay. Neighborhood was very quiet. We would stay again as it is convenient to national parks. Hostess was very quick to respond to us when needed.
