This 1916 gem blends 1920s charm with modern luxury, featuring a brand-new interior, high-end stainless steel appliances, heating/AC, a spacious family room, and a hand-carved statement fireplace. Located on a corner lot across from Aretha Franklinâs childhood home in La Salle Gardens, itâs just 5 minutes from Wayne State, 8 minutes from downtown, and walking distance to Henry Ford Hospital and the Motown Museum.
We loved this house and how they kept the original charm while upgrading and the hosts were wonderful. We had an issue with the heat during possibly the hottest weekend this summer so far and the hosts promptly brought more AC (window units only in this house, upgrades made didnât include central cooling) and they were checking on us often to make sure we were comfortable. Excellent hosts!
Check-in was a breeze! The house was absolutely stunningâso spacious and beautifully designed. We had everything we needed and felt completely at home, even with such a large group! The kitchen was immaculate and had plenty of room for everyone. We didnât need to bring a thing. Everything was clean, organized, and thoughtfully prepared. They even went the extra mile with the little details that made our stay extra comfortable. Highly recommend!
