We enjoyed your property and had I wonderful stay. The property was very clean and spacious. The location was convenient. We were able to get to Ford Field, other locations downtown, and Normâs Diner down the street by walking, taking Uber, or driving with ease. I enjoyed my morning jog in the West Village area, it was quiet, safe, and the people were friendly. The only minor issue I had was check-in with bending over to open the lockbox, took me several times but I finally got it open. Other than that we had a positive experience and would stay at this location again on our next visit in the future.
Great location. Very clean house. Nice bonus to have Red Hook coffee shop and norms diner so close. If you have a group of four I highly recommend. Great experience.
Cons - The sheets in one room had a stain. We were able to feel the stain on touch. I reached out to the host around 12:00am Aug 8th. I left out around 5pm when I returned back to the house around 11pm sheets were left in between the doors (security door does not close correctly) Host still has not responded or returned any messages. Another bedroom comforter had white strains on it. We didnât notice until someone use this room Friday night I didnât reach to the host since they never responded back to the other messages. Also, we were unable to find a decent parking space on the street. Check out instructions states to take out trash. It wasnât a trash bin accessible so I reached out to the host again for clarification no response again. The security does not close correctly and the main door is hard to close. Pros - The house and rooms are spacious. Restaurants and stores in walking distance. Bathrooms are nice as well.
Although the building was old it was extremly clean. It had pretty much all the amenities necessary for a short stay except for a coffee pot. There were pods but no coffee maker. Beds could be a little more comfy but all and all it was a nice stay
The house and neighborhood were beautiful - really close to Sister Pie and gorgeous Indian Village. However, the hospitality by the property managers was really subpar. First of all I had to initiate all of the communication, from reaching out for the address of the house 2 days before we were supposed to arrive, to then again asking about the check in process the day before, then asking about the check out process, which we didn't get til 2 am the morning of departure. We lacked basic things from dishwasher detergent (which admittedly they were kind enough to send someone over to deliver), plates, and utensils. We counted 5 forks in the entire house we had to reuse and hand wash until we were able to get that detergent. It's very obvious that it's a short term rental - it'll get the job done if you need it. If you don't want to be managing things while traveling however, I would recommend you look elsewhere.
This was our first time in the city. We were in for a football game. The property was well located - liked the neighborhood. Coffee shop was great - pizza place was great - breakfast joint was also great. Only complaint was the kitchen. It is not very well appointed. There was no toaster, a french press for coffee (no regular coffee machine), and not enough cookware. This was not terrible - we made do but could have been better. Otherwise, everything worked out well. Reached out to management twice and they were quick to respond. Would recommend!
There where 4 of Us who came to Detroit for a Sports weekend. The house with the separate 4 bedrooms worked out perfect. The location in relation to downtown was great. There was a little coffee shop a 1/2 block away, The Red Hook. Great coffee and pastries. We will defiantly stay there again on our next Detroit weekend adventure.
Nice older property in reasonable condition Front door was hard to open- lock and unlock. Very creaky floors. There were supplied coffee pods, but no keurig to use.
At first glance, the property from the outside looks like most of the housing in Detroit. Older in need of an update, but with a lot of history. But once you step foot inside, the property is well worth the stay. The space is beautifully well done from the living room, kitchen, dinning room area, to the very pleasing barthrooms. All the rooms are spacious and the beds are exceptional. My Family and I were very happy.
A couple notes though. The property is obviously an older property, so the floorboards and stairs creek alot. The front door gets a bit suck, but still functions well. The central air vents are a bit dated, but keep the house at a great temp. Also the Basement is unfinished and has cobwebs, but the washer and dryer combo was great.
Overall, my family and I had a great stay. The Host was very attentive to our needs and we would definitely stay again.
We picked the place for its location and were not disappointed. It was clean and lovely and thoughtfully furnished. Filtered water in the fridge was great, and the electric kettle made me feel right at home.
There were a few challenges - the hot weather when we visited made the fourth bedroom (third floor) too hot to use, but we didnât need it. Itâs an older home, so the windows didnât block a lot of sound, and there were some residual odors, but nothing too disturbing. The second floor shower started leaking through the first floor ceiling on our second or third day there, so we notified the manager and just used the third floor shower for the remainder of our stay. All in all, it was the perfect peaceful home base we needed for our visit. Thank you!
