The place was great. It was clean and spacious, and located on a quiet street. It was also accessible to all the major roads. The host was very accommodating. Very pleased with it all and would highly recommend!

Comfortable unit in a quiet neighborhood. Had a nice chat with the host (Leslie) when I arrived and during my week-long stay she checked in multiple times to make sure everything was going OK.

Updated apartment in beautiful, safe neighborhood.

My husband, two boys (6 & 11) and I stayed in this quaint, little, clean apartment for four nights. They provided coffee, creamer and bathroom necessities. It was perfect for a short stay. When we did need something the owner was quick to reply and get it to us. If need be we will stay here again.

The host was extremely attentive to any questions or needs. Excellent and immediate communication. Good, quiet location between Islip airport and Port Jefferson. The size of the unit was very adequate for two people. Bathroom was clean and adequately stocked with towels and wash cloths.The reason for 2 stars is we thought the apartment was not very clean from floor to ceiling. This apartment has huge potential to be very cute. In my option, it needs an entire over haul.

However, we do want to clarify that throughout your stay we remained in constant communication to ensure your comfort. We checked in with you multiple times asking how everything was and whether you needed anything at all. Each time, you responded that everything was fine and that you did not need assistance. Because of that, receiving a 2-star rating feels unjust, especially considering the level of attentiveness and responsiveness we provided. As mentioned, this unit is currently undergoing upgrades, and many improvements have already been completed with additional enhancements scheduled. We are committed to creating a space that meets and exceeds guest expectations. We’re glad you found the location convenient, the communication excellent, and the bathroom clean and well-stocked. We take all feedback seriously and will continue elevating the unit as part of our ongoing improvements. Thank you again for your stay.

Overall we had a very nice stay! A little hiccup to begin the trip due to difficult time obtaining the check in information and the host being out of the country at the time. That being said once I got ahold of VRBO and they reached out to the host, they responded right away and took care of us. The host and their daughter (who was taking care of the property while the host was out of the country) exchanged contact information with us and both were great about communication when we needed it! The daughter responded within minutes to an inquiry we had and even brought us extra towels when we needed them. We were in town for a lacrosse tournament and the house was super close to both locations of the fields (10 minutes to the one campus and about 2 miles to the other field). Port Jefferson was about 10-15 minutes away and was a great location to get a bite to eat, be near the water and enjoy the atmosphere!

Convenient location, clean but not for me

I stay in a lot of rental places and I used to have a rental myself. The location was great and the place was clean. It had pretty much everything you might need for a few days: coffee, pots, dishes, etc. Lesslie, the host, was very communicative and brought extra towels when I asked for them. However, this wasn't the VRBO place for me:I found the bed unbearable: it was so soft you'd roll to the middle. I ended up cutting my stay short to sleep elsewhere. I also didn't love the email that threatened a 100 fine for leaving any lights on when you went out for the night. It made it hard to get back inside when we were getting home late.And the pit bull and rottweiler that greeted me Christmas morning when I was leaving to visit my parents' place put me over the edge. They were fine dogs - just barking - but after not getting any sleep, it was just too much. We checked out early.

Overall, the stay was well liked. A few minor issues: 1) the toilet seat shifts because the right-side bolt is not tight. At 71, I see this a problem for elderly patrons. 2) the shower knobs require excessive tightening to shut the water off. Having worked in the maintenance dept. of a retirement facility I believe replacement of worn-out washers would resolve the problem. 3) The television control pads were confusing as they were not in their right locations. Labelling the controllers "bedroom" and "main" would solve this. We did not figure it out until our last night! 4) the heavy rain that fell on 8/3 leaked under the door and saturated the floor. Had we been entering a person could have slipped on the wet floor as the water-soaked pad was pushed out of place by the door. Nothing major and we fully enjoyed our stay.

Muito boa! Confortável, limpa e organizada. A host sempre muito solicita e atenciosa. Destaco dois pontos que podem ser um empecilho a alguém que queira se hospedar: 1ª localização: Necessidade de usar carro para se deslocar para outros lugares. 2 imóvel: Por ser um local um pouco fechado pode ser que pessoas com alergia (como é o meu caso) acabem sendo afetadas.

El espacio es cómodo y tal como se describe en la publicación. Tiene todos los utensilios y artefactos de cocina necesarios. Estaba muy limpio. Los aires acondicionados funcionaban de forma excelente lo cual fue muy bueno ya que nos tocaron días calurosos. Tanto Leslie como su marido se mostraron muy predispuestos a brindarnos asistencia cuando la necesitamos así como información sobre negocios en el barrio. El cual es muy pintoresco y tranquilo. Los anfitriones no hablaban español,nosotros no hablamos en inglés y sin embargo se esforzaron por comunicarse y estuvieron muy bien predispuestos. Muy recomendable

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that your experience wasn’t what you had hoped for. Throughout your stay, I checked in with you regularly and would have been happy to address any concerns you had. Regarding the bed, it was a simple fix — the cushion could have been easily removed to resolve the issue. As for the dogs, I was unaware they were outside, but they are puppies and extremely friendly. If it was a concern, a quick solution would have been to have them placed inside the house. I also asked multiple times, including on the day of your checkout, if there was anything you needed or if you had any concerns. As for the fee, it was a straightforward issue, which I believe we addressed. If you’re not home during the day, leaving all the lights on is unnecessary. I completely understand leaving one light on for when you return, but keeping all the lights on is simply not reasonable. I hope this clarifies things, and I appreciate your input.
