Communication was excellent!! House was very clean and very nice! It was over accommodating with everything you could possibly need! Would definitely recommend staying here!
House was pet friendly and on the canal. The home was easy to access and was well stocked for a vacation. Only concerns were mosquitoes at night but once you follow the recommendations of the homeowner, there were no problems. Highly recommend staying at this home if youâre looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation!
What impressed us most was the beauty of the land, the live oak trees, the egret and the great blue heron hunting from the shore in the yard. The comfort of the swings hanging from the live oak limbs was great. Yesterday, after a full day at the beach with our dog, we settled in the Adirondack chairs, put our feet up on the inactive fire pit to read and enjoy the sunny breeze and the quiet as the day came to an end. It was so restful. The house, the deck, the yard. Well thought out and shows the gentle care that it deserves. The gliders on the deck call you to rock a bit. Enjoy the view. Watch the world. The house has everything we could think of and then some. Loved that they had beach chairs for us to use. Lovely decorations. Not kitschy. Comfy. Not overdone. No wasted space. So nice to have a human sized space after seeing all the glitzy McMansions lining the beach and roads. An ideal spot. Highly recommended!
The cottage was well maintained and clean upon arrival. The owners were wonderful with communication and were prompt to answer our questions. The outdoor area was our favorite. We thoroughly enjoy the fire pit and seeing all the wild horses and we will be back!
This was our 1st visit to the outer banks and what an adventurous and beautiful vacation it was!!! Sherry and Jeff have an absolutely perfect getaway cottage!! It had everything we needed and much more! And with all their wonderful reviews we 100% agree. It is a very quaint beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood just postcard perfect! Sherry was quick to respond with any questions, suggestions and info of the area. I had originally left the last 4 days of our vaca open to travel further south to Hatteras and explore the southern part of the outer banks. However with hurricane Erin brewing we decided against it. I called Sherry to see if any addl days were available (truly hating to leave). We lucked out that there was 1 day avail and we took it. Our last night we took the peddle boat out to watch a gorgeous sunset. A thunderstorm came thru in the wee hrs of the am confirming we made best choice to stay here. As it cleared by morning it made for a beautiful day driving the beach back to reality. This was one of my most favorite vacations by far! I look forward to another trip very soon! My grandkids would soo love this as much as we did. It made for such great memories! The neighborhoods and the beaches here are extremely clean just horse prints, footprints and tire tracks. I pray the rest of hurricane season leaves this area the same as we found it. We look forward to a return HERE very soon no reason to look anywhere else.Thank you Sherry and Jeff
Had an amazing time! The place was a little smaller than I originally thought itâd be but the outdoor living space more than made up for it! Despite the limited indoor space we were still very comfortable! We were a little worried about driving on the beach for the first time but we had no issues in our Subaru Outback (make sure to air down). We saw the wild horses every day when going to/from beach. Would definitely stay again!
Our family of 4 had a wonderful time at this charming and comfortable cottage. Driving on the beach was intimidating at first, but it added to the adventure and fun. We also loved using the kayaks and paddle boards to explore the canals and sound. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. If youâre looking for a unique way to experience the outer banks, without the crowds and traffic, this is it! We will definitely be back.
This house was everything I hoped for. It was so well thought out, small, but charming and completely appointed with everything you need. Clean, cute, comfortable. And the host is so quick to respond anytime we had a question. We definitely want to return. We were there 4 days and did not even get to do all of the things we would like to. The horses came by almost every day. I would recommend this Cozy cottage off the beaten path anytime to anyone.
Pulling into the property we were greeted by a beautiful blue heron gracing the dock! Wonderful grassy lawn with Adirondack chairs, fire pit, tree swings, and gorgeous view. Opened the doors to the home and instantly impressed! Very clean, felt new! There was a birthday gift waiting for my granddaughter!!! Very cozy, quaint, and homey feel! Even better than described! The horses came to visit and stayed for a long time! What a treat to watch them! Fully enjoyed the paddle boat and paddle board. Even caught crabs and catfish right off the dock! The weather was perfect our whole stay! At the beach we saw many dolphins, caught crabs, flew kites, fished (caught 3 sting rays!), found shells, played in the water and in the sand, and soaked up the sun and made lasting memories! We found our little slice of heaven at The Dew Drop!
We absolutely loved our stay at Dew Drop Inn. The house is adorably decorated, comfy and cozy, and had everything we needed and more- a well-stocked kitchen, cleaning supplies, grilling supplies, beach gear, and more. The outdoor areas were great with swings, fire pit, and seating area. The wrap around deck was probably my favorite and was our dogâs favorite too. We saw horses in the yard every day. We really enjoyed our stay and the house was the perfect place to relax after spending the day on the beach. My only regret is not booking it for longer!! Thank you, Jeff and Sherry!!
Fantastic Waterfront Stay!We had an amazing time at this Corolla Beach property. Check-in was super easy, the home was spotless, and everything inside felt high-end and thoughtfully designed. The kitchen and bathrooms were especially impressive. Loved waking up to the water views â truly a relaxing and luxurious stay. Highly recommend!
This was a perfect spot. Two of our 3 children leave the nest this summer/fall, one to basic training and one to college, so we wanted a quiet spot w/ lots of opportunities for family fun and time together. This was perfect. We spent every waking moment out on the canal or in the yard. The SUPs & kayak were used daily. Our youngest was on the water every chance he got. We cooked every meal in the very well stocked kitchen. I made shrimp & grits, ceviche, fish tacos, steak & oysters, biscuits & gravy, every meal. We stopped at Seaside Market & bought fresh seafood. Amazing. The grill was great! A herd of 5 horses, inluding a very young filly, visited the yard twice. My daughter had to get out of the hammock & to the deck to maintain the madatory 50ft distance. They hung out for awhile then got into the canal for a while. We had an oprey hang out straight out early every morning, nutria swimming in the canal, a beautiful huge heron on the dock at the end of the canal. Very little boat traffic because of the perfect location of the property. The water around the dock was about waist deep for us. The house and property were beautiful and clean. We went to the beach several times. It was nice loading the truck & being able to drive straight to the water. No lugging big bags/ carts down to setup. Just pop the hatch and throw a tent up. Our dog loved everything about this vacation, too. Next time I'll bring more bottled/jugs of water.
The property was amazing and just as advertised. We came for the wild horses and were not disappointed as they appeared multiple times each day. Driving down the beach road was just so much fun to experience. It was the perfect get away for our family of four. Places to rest and relax, near the beach, and water activities in the back.
Our stay here was excellent! We enjoyed using the kayaks, trying a little fishing, and having a bonfire. The location of the cottage was perfect for spending the day on beach and then coming back to relax in the evening.
This little piece of heaven was very relaxing. They had every amenity I could have wanted. The adventurous drive on the beach was new a different for us. Staying here we got to see horses right in the canal. Such a magical stay.
We were celebrating a birthday of a friend who wanted to see the wild horses. We are a 2 couples that love adventures and new experiences and this house met all our expectations. allourexpectationsWgobeach
This is our second time staying here! And we will be booking again for September. We absolutely love it here, the peace, seclusion, 4x4 adventures and nature is everything our soul needs to reboot. The house has everything you need and makes you feel like you are at home. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the River otters play. My husband caught some bass and crabs in the canal outback. The horses are a beautiful bonus watching them in the wild.
Really enjoyed our weekend, so many thoughtful amenities. Several coffee options, a water filter, comfortable bed. Would have happily stayed longer if we could have. Definitely recommend this property!!
This was our first experience to Carova Beach. It was the best stay for us with 81 year old mother and two dogs. This place was so accommodating in the kitchen as well as the other areas. We couldnât find one bad thing about it. We are already talking about coming back in the fall. Thank you for such a great time.
From the egrets roosting at senset across the water to wild horses grazing in the yard, this place connects you with nature. Quick access to the sound and coves to kayak, and a quick drive to the beach. Exploring the surrounding areas in your 4x4 is a treat. It was a great place to disconnect from the rest of the world and be present in your getaway. Hosts were above and beyond. Nearly all aspects of our stay exceeded our expectations.
