Great location because it's at the center of everything. You can walk to everything: restaurants, grocery, shops, etc. The rooms, furnishings and decor are very well done. We made use of the kitchen for a couple of meals, and had everything we needed.Hosts were very attentive and were quick to respond. We clogged a drain and the Tyler helped us remedy the situation fast, even though it was later in the day.
We had a great time staying here during the Portland half marathon weekend. We had 5 adults stay Friday night and we all fit more than comfortably in the apartment. There were three large bedrooms that accommodated us all and a large dining room table for us all to comfortably eat at. The bathroom had more than enough towels for all of us, which was such a nice surprise. The apartment is walking distance to some amazing restaurants and breweries and just a few blocks from the waterfront. Such an incredible spot and we're already hoping we can stay here again next year!
We have a great time in this Hampshire street rental! Conveniently located near everything in the Old Port area, and just across the street from a great local co-op.
We had a great stay at this vrbo in Old Port Portland. It was clean, well decorated, and the hosts had great communication. It had everything we needed and was in a good spot that was walking distance to everything. My only note for guests considering booking this place is that parking for more than one car was a little expensive. The hosts did a good job communicating the parking options. However, if you are bringing more than one car plan to pay 30 a day for garage parking as street parking was not free during the day and had a time limit.Overall, I do recommend this place and had a great stay!
We had an amazing stay for my birthday celebration! Highly reccomend.
Only thing is I wish there was a heating unit in the downstairs guest bedroom, it was a tad chilly. but other than that I have zero complaints!
Location is great. The apartment faces the Food Co-op parking lot, so it can be a little noisy/busy but it was no issue for us. It was nice to have a grocery so close by. Easy walk for our kids to Old Port, the trails, coffee shops, and all the fun stuff nearby. Off-street parking was perfect.
The apartment was clean and in good shape, and is a livable space -- our family was able to watch some TV at night and play poker at the big table. Like the furniture is comfy (it doesn't just look good in pictures : ). Kitchen functioned well for us, though we didn't stay long enough to cook anything unfortunately.
The owners were responsive and gave us some suggestions for places to check out (which we did). Overall we'd definitely stay here when we visit Portland again. Thanks!!
Cute place and excellent location to explore Portland!
The place was cute, clean, and had everything we needed for a weekend stay! We loved how easy it was to walk to things (we didnât even have a car, just took Uber to and from the Portland airport and walked everywhere else). The co-op is almost right outside your door and has everything you could want or need in terms of groceries/prepared foods. Really enjoyed Portland itself, lots of great food to be had, cute areas to walk around, and great views if you can get out on the water. The host was also responsive and helpful which we really appreciated.
The only downside is thereâs only 1 bathroom, that was a little tough as a group of 8 adults especially when everyone needed to shower and get ready for dinner. Probably not as big of a deal for smaller groups but just be aware!
Stayed here with my husband, 3 kids and sonâs girlfriend. Apartment was clean, in a great location for walking everywhere, communication with owner was very good.
Walkable to pretty much everything we had planned! Received quick and consistent communication from host. Graciously let us leave our bags in the locked hallway until our later flight departure.
The location of the property is ideal. A short ride from the airport and within walking distance to fabulous restaurants, shopping, museums, churches, and parks. A very comfortable, clean three-bedroom apartment decorated with charming art and all the comforts of home. Would absolutely recommend. We look forward to returning.
We were looking for a home base for the Old Port Half Marathon. The unit was just as described. Very clean. Extremely comfortable and very well decorated. We easily walked to everything Old Port had to offer. The host were very communicative with very helpful information. We would love to stay here again.
Celebrated Thanksgiving in this well appointed property. Great location across from food coop. Communication with hosts was seamless. Would definitely recommend this property.
My group was only in Portland for a short two days but we had a wonderful time and this listing was perfect for our needs! The owners were incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. Location can't be beat and the whole place was very cute. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be renting again!
We stayed at this property for a long weekend/girlsâ trip and found it very clean and comfortable. It also was very walkable to the old port area and many great restaurants and shops. It also was a quick drive to the airport and convenient to get out of the city for day trips to Kennebunkport, etc. Tyler and Isabella were responsive hosts and checked on us during our stay. It is an urban property so families should consider that there is fairly busy activity outside the home and a noticeable homeless population. But we did not have any problematic interactions.
Fun and eclectic, clean and BIG apartment in Old Port. Upon check in we discovered the window AC unit in the loft wasnât functioning. The hosts were very responsive, and sent someone to fix it immediately. Unfortunately, that fix only lasted a day or so. He offered to send someone back to take another look, but since my son decided he didnât want to sleep in the loft anyway, it was a non-issue at that point. I appreciated our hosts high level of reachability and responsiveness.
We really enjoyed the apartmentâs proximity to Eventide, Honeypaw, and many many other fantastic Portland restaurants. We took a day trip to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, which was amazing (find the trolls!), and could return to the city without worrying about a parking spot in the street since we were provide one in the homeâs driveway. This really was a plus visiting the city in the summer.
A couple minor notes to mention: the large front bedroom did not have its own window AC unit. I do feel that this should have been explicitly disclosed. It would not have been an issue if we were comfortable sleeping with the bedroom door open, but since we were traveling with other people and the door to the front bedroom connects to the living room, it was not ideal. Also, a teeny tiny investment into a full length mirror would make such a big difference!
Ultimately we had wonderful few days visiting our favorite city. Thank you to our hosts!
Great place to stay in Portland. We were there for SwimRun Casco Bay and it's perfectly located to a ton of great restaurants and bars. Tyler was a phenomenal host and the property is perfect for a family or a couples trip. Loved staying here. We will be back!
This was a great place to stay! Walking distance to Old Port and pretty much everything we wanted to see. Very convenient having a Walgreens across the street as well.
We loved our stay in this spacious apartment with an ideal location for walking to almost everything in downtown Portland. Things we particularly liked: surprisingly quiet for city location, comfortable air conditioning, 3 comfortable bedrooms, extra towels, grocery store and coffee shops moments away. Owners were very responsive. We'd stay here again in a minute. Every VRBO property has tradeoffs and two things to know. It's a second floor unit, so you need to be comfortable climbing a flight of stairs. And apartment has one nice bathroom, but if your group is maxed out on teenagers that could be an issue. Otherwise, great spot!
Isabella and Tyler have a wonderful spot in the perfect location for exploring Portland! We had a great time and weâre able to walk easily to the waterfront, Old Port, and the many delicious restaurants and breweries. Highly recommend if you are staying in Portland!
We are a family living in Maine. We are both transplants from outside of Maine but since then have caught the Maine bug and have called Maine home for over 10 years. In our free time, our family can be found hiking Maine's trails, visiting art galleries, eating at Maine's amazing restaurants, and looking for hidden gems in new cities.
Isabella is a locally-known artist and creative professional. Her paintings can be found in the apartment or at her art gallery in Searsport Maine, Bella Weidner Art.
Tyler is a skillful renovator, builder, and all around handyman. He's always on the look out for a unique property to update and make new again.
We chose this property because it is close to everything. Once the car is parked in the driveway you can walk everywhere. If you are looking for a fully immersive stay in the city of Portland, this apartment is right for you. Just blocks from some of Maine's best restaurants, you will be able to spend your days exploring all Portland has to offer. Grab a cup of Maine-roasted coffee, walk along the harbor, try a sampling of craft beers, and enjoy some of the best seafood you've ever had! At the end of the day, relax and reflect on your adventures in our clean and cozy apartment.
The unique benefit to this apartment is that it has beautiful details and unique decor. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. You will be able to walk back to the apartment to relax whenever you see fit, since it is so close to everything in Portland.
