The stay was great...I went thru VRBO because I like to deal with owners, not realtors...that was a bit disappointing...also I had to supply linens for 5 beds....they should let you in an hour early if you have to make up 5 beds...the views and the back deck were spectacular
On the beach, beautiful views of sunrise and set, easy access to many restaurants and berry farms!
Very nice owner who I met as we arrived early. It's a small dog friendly home and we were happy to have a grassy area for our dog to walk/get relief. Make sure to clean up please!
Within a 4 mile radius (mostly 25-40 MPH roads), there are many restaurants, a great local grocery store (DMB rocks!) and fantastic fruit and veggie farms. In-Capability Farm is a MUST STOP!
2 negatives and only one is bad. There is foot traffic by this property as the neighborhood access to the beach is right by the house...not a huge deal and folks are nice...however be aware that public beach folks will wander down and plop in front of the house. There really aren't any private beaches here. I recommend that you put out a few chairs at the bottom of the stairs. I did about 20 feet out.
The truly bad thing is GPS is weak if at all, just get ready to hear, "Working on it...still working on it...Hmmm, something went wrong please try again."
One of the coolest things, is the low tide where the bay water shrinks up and you can explore, dig and rake for clams and crabs! It also means when high tide is in, you can walk out 300 feet or so.
I rarely give 5 stars, but there is always that gem!
We were 3 seniors who enjoyed this cottage very much. The location is wonderful with views of the water and gorgeous sunsets.
There are steps down to the beach that were not steep or difficult until the very last step onto the beach. It was quite high off the sand. The deck was a wonderful place to spend lazy afternoons and evenings.
