We chose this home for our family to stay together while planning and celebrating our fatherâs celebration of life Service. This home was perfect for our extended family. We enjoyed sitting on the patio every day and cooking together. There was plenty of room in the home for all of us and we enjoyed the beautiful area to take daily walks. I hope to be back the next time Iâm visiting Hershey!!
We stayed during the Hershey RV Show. We loved going home to this peaceful house after crazy busy days! It was so relaxing and the house is kept very well. Thereâs plenty of room to spread out and everyone had their own space. We plan to stay again next year!
We travel for work all over and rent places to stay all the time. This location was so pretty and serine between the stream and the trees the porch was a cool and enjoyable experience just lounging around.
Great house with lots of room for our family of 12. Plenty of yard for the kids to play. The location was close to Hershey Park and dining/shopping options. It would have been nice to have a door on the downstairs bedroom for more privacy, but overall the house was great for our family get away.
This is an older property with some history and we like that. There was lots of space and wood pellet heaters to keep common areas warm and comfortable. We loved walking the neighborhood and along the flowing stream. Even though the property afforded a very rural feeling it was still close to all the local attractions and shopping areas.
We stayed here last week. The house is large and accommodated 3 adult couples and a 5 year old. We arrive to a very clean well accommodated house.
We found the house to be out in the country but very close to Hershey Park and other local attractions, within minutes.
I would highly recommend anyone planning on a Hershey vacation to stay here.
We were very very pleased.
Thanks Tim,
Mike
Great country location--10 short minutes to Hershey Park
All was good with exception of steepness of stairs and TV reception. Two of our four couples had to stay/sleep downstairs due to stairs. Fox news was the only station we received.
My family and I rented this property for our trip to Hershey Park, Gettysburg, and Amish Country. The house is an old house, but well maintained. The stairs are steep leading to upstairs where most bedrooms are but with 2 14 year olds, 2 5 year olds, a 4 year old and a 9 year old we were free from any falls or injuries on them. My only complaint would be that the stream is listed as being in the backyard but in reality it is across the street. Our stay was great while visiting however.
We really enjoyed the the house we had wonderful time, we suggest you bring a few extra face towels we think people have taken them over time on accident but we had plenty of bath toewls. They really had everything you would need, such a wonderful God fearing family they checked on us to make sure we were fine and didn't need anything, and that we were able to enter the property with no problems I wish they had a t.v in the kid's room but it was not a problem because we got home late every night. The fire place was amazing just a wonderful place to stay we had no problems at all we will definitely stay here again thank! you so much for making our stay perfect.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It had all of the necessities plus extras. Plenty of space for all of us; 3 adults, 2 teens and 2 under ten. The kitchen has plenty of supplies for cooking and there were extra towels and blankets. Using the washer and dryer was a huge plus.
We loved the location. It was perfect for getting to Hershey quickly and we visited Hershey Park, the Gardens, Zoo America and more. We also were in very close proximity to plenty of Grub Hub restaurants and got both food and groceries delivered to the property. We did take advantage of the ownerâs suggestion to go âcreek stompingâ and saw crayfish and fish in the cool water. We appreciated the suggestion for water shoes-it helped with the slippery creek bed.
We happened to stay during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. With several heat advisory days as well as day with air quality alerts. The window air conditioners kept even the top floor comfortable despite the heat. We also drove a quick half hour to a movie theater and Dave and Busters on the worst day, so again, the location was fantastic.
As with any older home, the house had some mustiness which mostly dissipated as we ran the air. We did find the extra fan in the downstairs bedroom helpful. There was no foosball table as the listing stated, but we had plenty to keep us busy. Overall, a great place to stay.
This is an older property with some upgrades. The listing is inaccurate (no gas grill, no pull out sofa, no outdoor fireplace). The property easily accomodates 11 people. There are plenty of toys and games provided for family enjoyment of all ages. The pellet stoves were not working but the house has a residual smokey smell from previous use of the stoves. The wrap around porch is a plus and alllows for eating outside under cover. The chairs for the dining room table all had seats with no middle support for sitting. It was difficult to maintain a constant temperature using the thermostats. The kitchen is well equipped. The owner added a crock pot upon our request. There are plenty on bedding and linens provided. Large volume washer and dryer is provided for use. It is advisable to bring your own personal toiletries. We were there in the spring and the peonies, clematis , fuscia, and rhododendrens were beautiful. The owner is very pleasant to talk to and seems sympathetic to ones needs.
We enjoyed our stay here. The house and property were beautiful and just as described. Check in was seamless with a keypad on the front door. It is a quiet area and the people we saw walking were all friendly with a wave. The large home was perfect for our family of 9. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, and cups. There was ample seating for all of us to eat at the same time. The beds were all comfy and had soft sheets and more than enough pillows. It was nice having a fridge with an ice maker. We couldn't have asked for a better location, close to all the shops and restaurants, but far enough away for a peaceful stay.
One big drawback was the lack of hot water. We got about 1.5 showers in before the water was cold, which was a bummer for a family of 9. Also, the air conditioners in 2 of the bedrooms were either too loud to be used or didn't keep the room cold. They also had a musty smell coming from them. The downstairs bedroom needs a door instead of a blanket curtain. The dishes in the cupboard were not very clean so we had to rewash everything before use. Closets in the rooms would have been nice, but not necessary given the dressers.
Overall, we really loved the place. Just a few minor issues that wouldn't stop us from renting the place again. *4.5 stars*
This house has enough beds and rooms for my big family. There was enough room at the dining table to eat a family dinner and play board games. The living room has enough space for the family to watch TV and a toy box for the children. The deck is nice and shaded also. Lots of grass in the yard for the kids to run around. The location is close to Hershey Park. There is an escape room and arcade with go carts and bumper boats in the area as well. Nice place to stay.
Great older house for 8 adults. Close to Hershey World and many museums and attractions. Shopping and restaurants nearby. The kitchen and living room was big enough for all of us. There are 5 rooms so each couple had a room and the singles got their own rooms. The stairs going up are a bit narrow and have a bit of a steeper incline to them as most older houses do. We had no problem with them, there is a hand rail going up. The parking area out front is large and it is a very quiet area and pretty. The house worked out great for all of us. Thank you.
We had a wonderful family vacation at this property. I would highly recommend it and will stay here again if we come again. The home is very family-friendly with games and toys for kids, lots of extra linens, and plenty of room for cooking large meals.
We spent a lot of time eating outside on the covered deck - very relaxing and peaceful and the kids had fun playing in the yard.
Tim and Lydee, thank you for the "extra special touches" for making us feel at home in your lovely vacation home." The location to all the events and attractions was great!

We had a great time at this house. It easily fit our family of 9. The house is pretty old, and has a very steep stairwell to the second floor, although there is a first floor bedroom, too. While not a luxury house, it has very clean and well stocked with linens. It is very close to lots of things in the area like Hershey Park and Harrisburg.
